So apparently PTC cops can pull you over "just so they can check if everything is alright". Going home from Tommy's at maybe almost 3 AM from a late dinner and movie night, a cop turns on his light while at the median so I stop since I'm the only car at the road. I was doing 38 on cruise control on a 40 with nothing wrong with my car (All lights working, whatever else) and using my blinkers and driving respectively. Cop goes, "How's it going? Is everything alright here? May I ask what are you doing still out at 3 AM at night?". Cop had no reason to pull me over but he did. Oh and this happened at about 1/8 mile away from my house. He can't bust me for anything since he never had a reason to stop me anyway.
move out of PTC and cops wont hassle you.........

13 oz. It feels awesome. The only thing that I've found to dislike about it though is the hole for the screw just happens to be where I place my finger for 2nd, 4th, and 6th. It feels weird, but that's usually when I'm flicking the shifter. I guess it's time to shift normally? :dunno:

there were a few. one twin turbo cobra said he was bouncing the limiter at the half mile and said that worked out to be 175/6. two supras came out to play- one was ij the 170's and the other 180+. a couple a nice gtr's and i imagine they were near if not above 150.

I love Deal's Gap, idk why everyone else seems to have a problem with it. I hope you have a good time.
The biggest issue with Deal's Gap is the traffic and the people that can't seem to stay in their own lane. For example, Mike and I went out to chase a C6 Vette convertable and the d-bag was crossing lanes during each turn trying to gain a lead on us. He ended up letting us pass half way through the run. When LB and I were coming back up the mountain, there was another Miata that was halfway in our lane as we came around the corner. When we went out to make our first run of the morning, another young kid in a Miata had slid into a Honda Odyssey during a turn. No one was injured but the miata was totaled and the van had pretty good damage to the driver's door. It's stupid shit like that, that kills people.
We were originally intending to head to Florida for the half-mile event but could not get parts in time for the Subaru to get it running and I don't want to rush things. So, the next best thing was Miatas at the Gap. I was hesitant on taking the Miata as I just participated at a track event with Shroeder a couple weeks ago and the tires had zero grip. It was the same case yesterday so we ended up just taking it safe as I didn't want anything to happen to her car.

You had to pass tech which consisted of decent tires, no leaks, SA2005 helmet or newer (although I did see some motorcycle helmets out there), clean brake fluid, and no visible excessive brake wear/damage.
No rice burners because it was mainly talked about and advertised in areas/forums/circles where people have exceptionally fast cars that can't safely stretch their legs on public highways. You're average gsr swapped hatch isn't gonna really be doing much after 1/4 mile, so why bother? A 600+whp car on the other hand will legitimately haul ass continously haul ass well past the 1/4. I was expecting to be the slowest car there. I wasn't but I was in the bottom 5. lol

Damn dude, they've been out for a while now. I got beat by a Turbo model in my Evo one day on 400. Guy said it had basic bolt-on's and was making a little less than 570whp. The more I see them, the more I like them (only the turbo models though).

Personally, I love the Panamera. Everything about that car is beautiful to me. They knew everything they wanted to achieve with it and wouldn't take no for an answer. Some people hate the styling, but to me, I think it's perfect to fit all the features they wanted to have with that car while still maintaining the classic Porsche look. Beautiful and brilliant.

In other news, I'm feeling quite depressed...I'm cleaning my car and noticing more and more chips and scratches and things of that nature...I almost want to sell the car it bothers me that badly. Any of you who know me well enough know I demand perfection and this 8 year old car is far from it. I would be pretty happy if I could get it repainted, but to get a decent paint job would be far more costly than I'm currently willing or able to afford. Any thoughts? There's not much out right now that I like, all that comes to mind would be a new Evo or even a 370z. Suggestions are appreciated.

Honestly man, it doesn't matter how hard to try to keep the front bumper minty, shit's going to happen. My vote would be to just get it resprayed and look into the the 3M speedfilm. Now would be the time to look into an aftermarket one if you're interested in going that route. In regards to the Evo or 370z, you could almost repaint the front bumper each month for what your car note would be. I like what you've done with your RSX. :)

sidewalls look perfect on his car. If he's running 195/55 then he's running the proper size. (Unless he wants a wider contact patch then 205/50's will do it. I ran 225's on my prelude. hehehehe) A smaller sidewall is gonna increase wheel gap, make it look like a lowrider wheel/tire combo, throw the speedometer off, give him a harsher ride and increase the risk of wheel damage. (DISCLAIMER: friendly debate- not trying to say your wrong. lol)
And congrats on the battery! lol WHat'd you get??

I would run a 205/50 all day, but it all depends on the make/model of the tire. I'd run a 205/50 on a set of Bridgestone Potenza's just because the sidewalls are stiff enough to support the wheel without risking any sort of damage(also, driver mod). I'd be skeptical on some Kuhmo AST/ASX's. Keep in mind that I ran a 205/50/15 on my sol and it looked great. Granted the difference between a 205/50 and a 195/55 is literally .2 inches. It makes a huge difference IMHO. :) Then again...I'm a freak....
And I haven't bought it yet! Going out in a bit to grab my Optima Yellow Top...

With all the amps and accessories that's been in that car over the years I'm surprised it lasted this long on you! At least you got some good life out of it.

I wouldn't touch Kumho's to save my life. I hated every set I had and forgot how terrible they were till I took tommy's Suby for the day and pushed the car slightly. The tires gave up WAY too quickly.... They fucking suck dick!!!!

I know! Would you consider any other battery that is available TODAY?

Haha, you'd be surprised at how I was able to keep any sort of traction down at Pine Mountain considering I'm running 2 Fuzion HRI's, 1 ZRI, and a Kuhmo AST. I even expect better from myself...

Ifi remember correctly back when I was into battery research the Sears Diehard batteries were rebranded Oddysey batteries making them an excellent choice. Also the yellow top is a deep cycle battery, meaning it's optimized for aggressive cycling patterns; however, most daily driver's need something which can effectively recharge more efficiently. Red top or the Diehard is probably what I would select if you don't listen to music or any of that stuff with the car in acc.

Really? I was choosing the Yellow Top to run all of the electronics in the Dub...so a Red Top would be better? I only listen to music when the motor is running.

The yellow top is a bandaid for people drawing too much additional current even WHEN the alternator is doing all the work. If you're not overloading the charging system and deep cycling the battery (which I doubt you are, your two amps combined are probably only pulling around 80A?) then a regular quality startup battery like the red top will be respond better to partial discharge and recharge much quicker. Ultimately you couldn't make a bad choice, but IMO the redtop is a better choice for your needs. If you had some nig sound system with 3 15" and your lights were dimming and stuff like that then it would be a different story.

I just replaced a Yellow Top in My Dually, it was 3 years old (external factors ruined battery). Truck has a 2500 watt stereo, remoted windows, remote starter, xenon police strobes, 4 Flexalite fans, and all sorts of electrical conraptions. It worked great, just bought another.

I love my tires they will hold on further than I have pushed my truck this far... and I have been really pushing them... I don't think my truck will go fast enough to really lose traction... and I think its amazing it doesn't undesteer with how much my truck weighs... I do think there is a bit of sidewall flex with them though.... the only aftermarket upgraded swaybars are $600 by hotchkis...

Bold: Sounds like you're gonna get it to lose traction unnexpectedly one of these days and then we'll be peeling you up off the pavement....
sidewall flex and swaybars share very little in common.

Perfect example of a setup actually requiring a deep cycle battery!

I know this... I've already thought... I'm going this fast and if it does lose traction... ima be uber fucked... and the sidewall flex and swaybars I know have nothing in common in the way the truck sways buy they both lead to it... so if I can atleast eliminate one it'll be better ... currently there is no swaybar on the rear

Get the griots garage 6". Unlike my Meguiars paperweight, it has a lifetime warranty (my megs only has a 1 year.) I am going on my 3rd megs unit, and if this next one has this problem, im getting myself a flippin refund. BTW: this is my newest buffer from meguiars, the g110v2, i have a g100 which is 4 years old or more and works flawlessly.
Also the GG6 is only 130 through amazon.

Thanks but I can't void the warranty. I thought about just getting a porter cable or dewalt replacement cable, but again warranty issues.

Hey guys, any opinions on a roof rack on the Fuckus? Go or no go? I'm trying to imagine how it would look. And no, it's not for looks, I have a bike I'd like to transport around.

Ronel, that my friend is a Competition Orange SVT Focus with the European Appearance Package. A buddy of mine had one just like it except his wheels were the factory color and not black.
I've seen a few with a roof rack. Not bad looking.

Why would you post a picture of a Focus with no roof rack if you're asking for opinions on roof rack?
What happened?
I have no idea, but heading south on 74 to go home I saw at least 2 fire trucks, an ambulance, and a few cops all with lights on at the corner of the building, looked like something big.

It was in the corner of NCR, when we passed the stop light right after the post office it was to our immediate right, I don't see how you missed it.
