I finally got around to doing a tune-up on the Daily Driver. 139K miles on original plugs and wires. The Plugs are supposed to be gapped at .044 when new, they were so worn out they were gapped at over .095!! Gas mileage should improve a little hopefully!

I cut a 1/4" steel plate and mounted it between the frame rails under the radiator. The control box is mounted inside the engine bay by the firewall. I am wiring up a switch inside the truck in addition to the cord.

That's going to be with most manufacturers when it comes to those type of vehicles. A customer of ours blew the motor of his Elise at the track and Lotus was denying his claim. After some going back and forth with Lotus USA, they eventually replaced the motor under warranty. I was able to get LB's top replaced even outside of warranty at Jim Ellis Mazda.

I found out a long time ago that losing can be a good thing. It drives you harder/further. It makes you sit back and regroup. It makes you modest and humble. It can let you know where you stack up in the big picture. I do runs with people i know I'm gonna lose to, but if I can make them work for their win I've accomplished something. I've won many several races I shouldn't have do to the other driver not being worth a damn behind the wheel.

u will likely pull on brandon. boosted cars hate this weather and a subaru with the factory top mount and no turbo heatshield really doesn't like this weather (not to mention brandon's clutch is shot). he'd have to be cruising for a solid 5 min at highway speeds to get the intercooler somewhat cooler than ambient temps.
hell, even dads car has crazy air intake temps at highway speeds in this weather. the actual charge air is far cooler on dads car though (superior heat exchanger and engine bay heat management compared to brandons car)
i think u and he would be good and a solid run with he and bobby would be stellar. 3 way pull anybody? :D lol
