They do in the front (I had to lower it by 1.5 inches to clear the oil pan though), but not in the rear. I'm trying to get ahold of at least a stock sized rear to help out in the corners. I finally got around to putting the front one back on and that helped alot. As for the springs I'm running 2004 Cobra Fronts (which I believe are 750 rate) with one coil removed, and still have the rear 4 cyl springs. It helps alot with the launches, but still blows around the corners.

here's my bolt-on H23 dyno from a year ago. I was still running AC and powersteering. Once i removed both the car was alot more responsive so I know it made over 150, but have no dyno to prove it.

Then here's my dyno from last week with my current H22 setup- again, stock internals. Don't pay any attention the torque numbers as they're from the spikes in the higher RPM. It was an ignition glitch. Its a solid 150wtq.

Yeah we played around from 40-125 he was only able to put a car on me. Well that was on the one run that he was able to grab every gear perfectly (not knocking ya brian, I know it takes a minute to get used to a new car clutch/shifting). All the other runs I'd get the initial jump and he'd miss 2nd or 3rd and couldn't reel me in.
We had fun:)

Bryan, isn't that harmful to a new motor? To push it without "breaking in" the motor?

Believe it or not the motor is usually broken in within the first 30 minutes of life. The best way to "Break" in a motor is to beat on it, it makes the rings seat better. At least that's what my friend Justin says he's found out building the engines for a couple of the Craftsman cup trucks and some of the Roush Fenway cars.

I have built quite a few engines (everything from inline 6's, and 4 cyl to Chebbie and Ford V8's) and have yet to have any issues using this method. Of course I have only built one "high performance" engine and I only have 2000 miles on it so I haven't had a chance to really see if that method works on HP engines for myself.

If anything I would believe it would be hurting the transaxle. I know on new RWD axles (obviously the Cobalt doesnt fall into this category) your supposed to give it moderate driving for the first few hundred miles to allow the gears to heat up and cool down to make them mesh together better. I haven't heard if this actually works or not. Also new Clutches are supposed to have break-in periods.

Tell me about it. About two years ago I sold off my last Mustang and either gave away or threw away all of my extra Mustang parts. Crap that I have had squirreled away like a complete grey interior, brand new carpet, Decent Seats, Brackets, AC components, Upgraded suspension components, and some hard to find stuff.

Within a year of getting rid of everything I had already picked up the car I have now (Which needed all of the stuff that I gave away) and started building the 351W that's in it now. Boy talk about a 180.
