she wanted silver wheels. my father and i both really like the Rota boosts and figured they'd look awesome on her car- even in not so cool silver. the place we ordered them from is a sponsor on NASIOC and we got a small price cut. the wheels were "steel grey" and in the picture look like a dark silverish color. mom said ok and i ordered them. she seen the picture showing the color!!
i get home today and shes all pissed off saying it looks stupid and now the purple lugs look retarded and the wheels dont match anything.... that was bad enough, but it got worse when shee seen what was in the T1R box...
dad wanted to do something nice for her and ordered a T1R axle back ($395) and i payed the shipping ($110 in order to have it here by ia). its really nice and will look great on the car. mom disagrees. it has a "burnt" style tip and its obviously a little blue/purple. one look at it and she went ape shit: " now its a fucking clown car!!! you can put whatever fucking stickers you want on it now, because it cant look any more stupid than that!! just get some fucking polka-dots to complete the look!!"

say what u want, but they were drivers and i like that. drive it monday thru friday and clean it up a bit and bring it out to events like this. not nearly as much "wrong fitment" as i expected. nothing struck me as being uber awesome, but i liked most of the stuff there.

I understand the daily driver thing but a good majority of them were cars put together by broke ass kids and showed that; bumpers held on by zip-ties, terrible bodywork, etc. As I was expecting, it was a Honda fag festival but it gets old when everyone has a bike rack (which probably isn't being used), wrong fitted wheels (that red Miata with the balloon tires is a prefect example), grafitti written on the cars as if it's cool...I could keep going. Hell, you'll find nicer cars at Road Atlanta that are being driven the way they should be.

Eventually yes, but for now it will stay the Menstration red Ford calls Strawberry Metallic. The Four Eyed '85 - '86 cars are what I grew up with. Well I guess the '87 - '93 are as well but everybody and their brother had one of those when I was a kid. The '85 - '86 has always done it for me.

Alright ladies and gentlemen summer time is in our midst and it is time to get out of the house and enjoy the summer sun! I've been thinking how I could get us "car enthusiast" together in one place at one time. I know we can have a great time if everyone comes out! We have a delicious variety of mouth watering food, thirst quenching alcohol, beautiful location with plenty of room, and of course the cars! All we need is you to get off your lazy ass and come on out! So lets kick off this summer with a blast, check out the details below and we will see you there.

COOK-OUT Saturday, May 14th, 2011. @ Joe's Crib. 12pm - 6pm.

Tentative Schedule:

- At 11am whoever wants to volunteer to help set up can show up and help

- Then 12pm as people start to trickle in we can get ready to fire up the grills and heat them coals!

- Around 12:30pm hopefully most of the food will be there and get to cooking :yumyum:

- About 1pm we can start chowing down

- At 2pm clean up from lunch

- After we clean up we can just chill and hang out till 6pm ish

- Around 6pm as it gets cooler and the sun is starting to retire we could get in our cars and take a cruise around town and stop here and there take some pictures as we are out and about

- In the end take take our seperate ways home but im open ears for any other ideas

We want to have a great time so any and all who want to help please let me know. We need help for set up (any games we do, tables, chairs, canopy's, etc) and breakdown/cleanup. Need some cooks and people want to help with lunch (get all the plates, cups, utensils, condiments, etc. put out) and after lunch clean up. The more help we have the better it will go faster with more help and that way we are not just setting up and cleaning up all day and missing out on all the other activities.

If you want to bring something I can add it to the list. Example: I got one PS3, but if someone wants to bring a tv and another PS3 we can get to matchmaking going. Just post anything you want to bring and ill add it or check it off the list.

This is also a female friendly environment! so bring the wife/gf, but not both together unless they are cool like that!

And if anyone has and other ideas or input please feel free to post your thoughts/comments.

i had messaged you cause i was at M&S junkyard in fayetteville to get a crv ac mount. I called yesterday and was told that they had one for $50 and that it was there. So i leave at like 9:30, get there at 10 or so. its not a pick a part but they take you out in the yard to look at the part before its pulled, so i waited for about 30 minutes to go into the yard, then a manager comes out and says you have been waiting long enough, im getting someone to come help, another 20 minutes pass. I finally get to the CRV and its mount is already pulled. On top of that, I had went with my dad last night to Dave and Busters for a Kenwood product seminar to tell about the new units for this year, and the food they served sucked, and the games sucked at D&B, they were all broken and old. On top of that he was supposed to go with me to the yard today and last saturday and last friday, but he decided he didnt want to go either of those days.

Honda parts connection in sugar hill has the part but they want $75 for just the mount, that is dealer pricing! So FML.......

Mr. David... i'm sorry bout your paint.. I actually mixed that paint for them.. it was a three stage paint (a bitch to match in the first place).. and they just bought a very small amount for a small job (which skews paint accuracy as it is).

...in my defense... i told them there were 3 variations of that color.. but they didn't wanna bring me a sample.. had I known it was for your car I would have fixed the problem before it became a problem.
