First of all, crop it.

Second of all, all of your whites are way blown out. You're overboosting your contrast and your saturation and killing all of your detail.

How are you saving your images? They look like they have lost a lot of file integrity. Not sure if it's the harsh editing or an improper compression.

1. it was my first time playing with elements i think i went way way over done after...


2. bc of the amount of pics that i took and only having 2 gigs to work with i chose jpeg fine in a large format. then i think bc of the editing and uploading and down loading to flikr too a lot of the integrity out of it. the RAW images i have look ok but none are of the pic that i wanted.

3. if you would take the time to show me what i'm doing wrong that would be awesome!!!:cheers:

It's not that you are doing anything wrong, you've just over boosted your editing. You want your images to pop, but you don't want to take it so far you lose detail.

Could you post the original image?

To be honest dude, the shot is too far away and the car is in a very soft focus. What lens were you shooting with?

The crop I like best is the one you earlier, with the image following the drift line.

I would say just add a touch of contrast, and some leveling and call it a day.

Trying to sharpen something that soft will just ruin the image.

thanks, simple layer job. Top was contrasted to hell, erased the bits that looked like crap (the car didnt look good highly contrasted.) Bottom layer contrasted lightly, with a hue change. Erased the car from the highly contrasted layer and thus we have that.

Brandon, you would benefit i think from knowing how to use layers first and foremost. You can make multiple layers, adjust each layers contrast and then delete what you dont like about them to allow what you like from previous layers to show.

BTW: not directed toward you andy, but toward brandon, in hopes he can get something out of it.

That was before my front and rear accord lips, and I had Tanabe stickers instead of the "BB Squad" stickers. With the painter stockers with undersized 205/55 tires. And if memory sreves me correct that picture was when I had my third H23. Damn the car has come a long way even from that picture and it was so far from where it first started- bone stock.

does not need darker tint and be careful with mirror choice. Don't do the F1 style like teng has. They won't go with the rest of the car. They look best on coupes/roadsters (hence why teng's and sean's cars can pull them off nicely)

I did a compression test on Tommy's car and got part of the compression tester stuck in the head saturday night. So I took off the head and screwed a bolt into the piece and screwed it out of the head and started putting it back together last night, but need to finish tonight.
I was so excited to pull apart a honda. lol
My father had two plugs in his hand looking at them for five minutes.
him: "Bud, what are these for?"
me: "Intake Air Temp sensor is that one and the other one is for the black bix under the manifold."
him: "they look the same?"
me: "i know but the wire colors are different."
him: "hmm... ok. What about these??"
Me: "TPS and MAP sensors. Blue one's the TPS."
him: "I've got three vacuum lines. You know where they go??"
me: "that ones for the fuel pressure regulator and the other two go to the manifold. one on the front side the other on the back side"
him: "ok...." shaking head....
