I need a new motor. Something went wrong with my motor and now I have to replace it sooner.....lovely.

yup. something went wrong yesterday. started sputtering bad. barely made it to my work and then it died. could barely get up a hill in second gear. once i shifted to fourth and fifth i lost all power and now it won't start. no visible damage and it wasn't knocking. i have replaced:

~fuel filter
~plugs
~wires
~cap and rotor
~radiator
~distributor internals

don't have a clue what is going on with it.

my dads old truck 88 ram has 238,000 and has only had trans problems at 70k
dads civic 96 has 225,000 miles nothing gone bad

You were doing the same thing when you drove KlutchGT's MR2 on Friday night. You shouldn't have to rev over 1500rpm to start from a dead stop. Most of us wouldn't mind showing how it's properly done. Like I said, I'm not trying to be a dick but dude, if you keep this up, you'll be replacing the clutch again real soon.

Hondas can go a while, a legend guy has 402xxx miles on his 95 coupe. So it just proves if you take care of the car it will last a while.

I mean my dads 6spd has 212k or so and it runs like brand new (save the damn clutch safety switch sometimes malfunctioning not letting it start.)

I don't need to know what your fuel cut, rev limit, etc. is to properly pull away from a dead stop. From the sound of the engine, I'd guess you were around ~3k rpm when letting off the clutch. Letting off the clutch at ~1500-2k at most is more than adequate.

Steve isnt saying you're shifting wrong, he's telling you you're starting from a dead stop wrong. Big difference. And he's not being a dick, he's just trying to give you a pointer so you don't have to change your clutch again so soon. Now if he came across as "You don't know how to drive a fucking stick dipshit. You need to come watch me drive my Badass EVO as it's God's Chariot!" then I would be pissed off and tell him to go fuck himself.

Steve is a good person and is just trying to help out. Don't jump up his ass just because he gave you a pointer. Also what series engine, how high it revs and at what RPM the VVT kicks in doesn't mean shit about clutch engagement. It has to do with type of clutch material, Springs, and Clutch adjustment.

Find the sending unit and short the gauge wire to ground, if it goes full its the sending unit, if not its the gauge. But I'm sure you already knew that! Hopefully its still under warranty and you dont have to do shit!

BP supplies gas to Kroger and it's usually cheaper. I only put BP (or Kroger), Shell or Chevron in the car. I like Shell but they're always on the more expensive side.

Oh and update on my issue...I went to another gas station during lunch to top it off thinking maybe it'd hit a sensor or something but sure enough, the pump I used last night didn't even put gas in the damn car although it said I received 11 gallons for ~$35 dollars. Now, I don't know whether to go back to that Kroger and say something or call my credit union? It'll be hard to prove anything at Kroger since I always decline a receipt (I throw it away anyways).

Actually, it does. Before it goes into a truck the additives and preservatives that each individual company uses gets added in. The truck then delivers the fuel to a station and that's thet. One fuel plant in columbus supplies numerous different gas stations of differnt companies.

I was told to stay away from F1 when I bought my kit. But installing a clutch isn't hard, atleast in the celica.

I have my back seat and carpet out (actually, stuffed in my trunk right now), and I'm ready to saw some floorboard out of a junk car and cut out the rust in mine.
It's not as bad as I thought it'd be, but it's a pretty fierce break. About a foot long, two inches wide at most. I'll be cutting out everything from the weld to halfway under the seat, and getting it reinforced and welded in.
