Being in Houston has made me realize that there are no fast cars in Atlanta. You think you have something until you come here and get your ass handed to you. For example, there is a 1550awhp Gallardo (we'll call him SW). Last night, he got his ass handed to him by a Supra...the Supra's tag just happens to say "SW Killr". Lol. He put four lengths on the Gallardo. As a matter of fact, this Supra beat every TT Gallardo here this weekend.

This last friday night was my first night coming out so you wouldn't know me. My names Mike and im from Lagrange, right now i live in Grantville. Along side a friend of mine were trying to bring the car scene in OUR area together. When i say OUR area i mean Newnan, Franklin, Hogansville, Lagrange...maybe even Columbus. I know the scene in Atlanta is huge but we have some amazing vehicles right here in our own backyards. I would like to see a bigger crowd coming out each and every week for sure and i believe we could do that. Word of mouth is a huge thing with this. We are building an actual website, as one of my close friends is an amazing website designer...it will be for everyone. No discrimination with us, nothing but love. We don't care if your rolling in a Honda or a Ford if your a gear head your welcome. Hop on the facebook and gives a chance man, what harm could it do? Like i said where trying to pull the car community closer together so help us out :D

I'm going to be honest real quick, regardless of if you guys join or not where still going to do it. I've ALWAYS wanted to bring the scene together on a bigger level. I will continue to come out of course and socialize, i would just like too see that parking lot so full we would have to move to a bigger one. I was just throwing it out there for you guys to check out, where going to be doing build threads also. It's not going to be just a forum, its going to be a full on enthusiast website. We will be doing feature cars and build threads on some of our own shop cars. At this exact moment were building an insane s14, we swapped in a 1uz Lexus v8 w/5 speed swap of course, wire tucked, with a fat 70mm turbo and a custom paint job...oh and its going to be slammed.

Over the past YEARS, yes we have been meeting for a while, we have moved around many places because we constantly get kicked out of parking lots or places to hang out. So now someone person wants to make this so large and possibly ruin it for everyone? We are on a thing string at the place we meet now, luckily we don't get bothered by the cops because we once had permission. Unfortunately the person that gave us permission no longer works/lives here. Its just fine how the meet is now. Its been like this for a long time and would like to keep it this way.

If the Newnan meet is not good enough, Varsity is close by.

BTW Hellspeaker, thanks for the pm, but I already have my replacement vehicle.

The one thing you have to be careful of hellspeaker is that you are coming into our "circle" and trying to change things up when you are just new to our crowd. We never offered our meeting spot to such a large crowd, we used to, but since it has gotten more grassroots style, trying to come in and saying "oh ya i want to pack that parking lot to the brim," is no bueno. We did all the leg work to get us where we are and we dont want to ruin it. If you got to know the local crowd at our meets before trying to get a bunch of randoms there it would be greatly appreciated.

As tommy has said, we get by in the parking lot because we dont do stupid stuff but we are closely monitored by the stores. The current manager of SW doesnt really care (though he does express his disdain for imports from time to time) but its the fitness center who does care.

My friend just wanted to build a website with our area in mind and not so much the Atlanta area. You won't have to worry about any of my friends pulling weapons or being assholes, were just car guys who like to talk to other car guys and chill. I also would like too add that our website will me not only be pointed at imports but cars of all makes and models, trucks or bikes. If you have a street legal army tank then your welcome. I know you guys are not on board with it so i am just going to drop it. Sweet! I was going to suggest using something like that (like megs ultimate compound.) You could have used paint thinner to get a majority of the paint transfer up but polishing is safer as the quality of your paint is sketch.

I work at a dealership where they were able to get me a better rate than I had with the Miata for next to nothing. Where am I getting the money?? I have a better job than I did before where I'm the #1 sales person at the moment. And the Miata is cheaper, yes, but I'd rather pay a little more for something I love than, well, anything for something I hate. Plus, I have so many extra benefits with this car when it comes to maintenance and care. More so than with the Miata. So, I'm actually saving money by switching to the GTI.

And I don't like the wheels either, but they came with the car. It is what it is. It's not really a big deal.

-edit- and I bought the Miata because I was pressured into it by people telling me it was the better choice when it really wasn't. Still my fault 100%, but I've learned from it. I did not buy the Miata because I was trying to save money. Just FYI haha :)

This. Sometimes some cars just don't work for some people. Now, if the GTI was gonna be a huge price difference overall or end up costing me more, I would've stuck with the Miata...regardless of how I felt about it. Sometimes you just gotta suck it up, but my dealership got me a great deal while pretty much giving me my payoff for my trade (which I know it was not worth that much haha).

I'm not a fan of the wheels, but I don't have the money to drop on a new set right now. It's not that big of a deal for me to really worry about right now though. They're just wheels :)

Right now I'm probably at 10-11 cars this month. Maybe more. And Fiat is doing a lot better. More and more people are gaining interest in them. Yes, it's gonna take some time to grow, but they're doing ok. Don't always believe everything you hear/read. Also remember that we sell more than just Fiats. Every dealership has a used car lot :P

Too small and I didn't like how I felt in it. I just wasn't comfortable driving it. I probably should have figured all of this out before I bought it, but it is what it is. The problem is solved now :)

+1 Well set up, its quite possibly one of the best handling street cars I have ever driven. What they lack in power, you gain 10 fold in handling and never having to touch the brakes in corners.

Well, it's official. I am 100% in love with my car. I've only driven it 50 miles and I am head over heels in love with it. Everything about it is so easy. Driving, operating, shifting, everything!! Best decision I've ever made...BY FAR!

I loved my IRS in the '03! From what ive been reading the solid axle still makes for a mean track car in sport mode. Tanner Foust took it around VIR but I havent been able to find full footage of it online. Not that im taking it around a track but Im still curious how much Ford improved on it.

Then again 1/2 the reason I never launched my '03 was because those halfshafts would snap like toothpicks with 560ftlbs I was pushing to the wheel hahaha. If it were to hook that is. So Im pretty sure i'll like to have a solid again :goodjob:

You could go the easy/cheesy route and do it on how to be a good waiter! Or if you wanted to still do something related to cars you could do how to change suspension or oil or some other mod.

If you don't like cigarettes or the smoke, stay away from them. I agree, they stink. But no one is forcing you to breathe near them. Most smokers are courteous and understand non-smokers' opinions and try to avoid contact while smoking.

I agree to disagree. Smokers do not have the right to infringe on the the safety of my public air. I shouldn't have to avoid entrances/exits to buildings, school walkways, or parking lots because of the "non-courteous" smokers. Legally, due to the obvious health threat, we can infringe on the right to smoke in public for the benefit of the safety of the general public via Supreme Court ruling Jacobson v. Massachusetts.

I, for one, being a smoker usually keep my distance from people who do not smoke as well as stay away from entrances to buildings. If it bothers you so much, ask the property managers to move the designated smoking sections.

Just throwing this out there, but smoking is an activity/addiction that one chooses to engage in. Just because you choose to do it doesn't mean someone else should suffer the consequences of it. The only reason why it's such a controversial subject is because so many Americans smoke, there has to be some justification for them to ignore other people's rights. There are really no gray areas when it comes to this. As long as you aren't disturbing other peoples' peace, then who cares?

I can't stand being around someone who is smoking. Can I put up with it? Sure. But it's a matter of respect for other people's feelings and health. That should be enough to justify it, I think.

Because people as a collective fail miserably at thinking in the long term. We know what will eventually happen if we continue smoking, but the avg person will think "I won't get lung cancer if I smoke a couple". This is also clouded by the fact that people always assume the best outcome of a situation e.g. "there are plenty of people who don't get lung cancer who smoke their whole lives, so I wont get it"
