I had a guy offer me his very very clean FC swapped LS1 for my old Yellow Mustang GT(for you guys that remember that old car :goodjob:). I still kinda wish I pulled the trigger and traded but o well.

Not saying the outcome would be different but that LS motor can be built very stout and in that chassis it can be a heartbreaker :goodjob:

I just saw one the other day in Tyrone. It was red or orange. It was not that impressive looking. Looks too similar to the stock Camaro. Chevy seems good at making their top of the line cars look way too similar to the base cars. Base C6 and the ZR1 then the V6 Camaro and the ZL1.

The wire to the intake tube and the bundle of wires are not from the factory. This was a shop owned car that they are working on. Everything else is factory, they just took the plastic cover off the engine. It has to be one of the ugliest engine bays ever.

That boosted one is still only on 4psi. Its a "disco potato"/gt28 which is appropriately sized for the 2 liter motor.
Visconti is waiting on speed density patch for the ecu before cranking up the boost a bit. That car also had a stock exhaust in that video.

They're crazy man. They love to mess with the newer Pvts it's not even. Even when you see the Apaches over here fly around, they do barrel rolls. When we did a training exercise by assaulting a mock village, the pilot thought it'd be a good idea to just suddenly do a high speed descent after a sharp turn. Our stomachs didn't like that.

And I think that guy thought if he could angle his wheels more it would magically turn into a flying car like the ones in back to the future.

In the middle of all this, I decided to get Ratty's old engine running while it was sitting in the driveway, all out of sheer boredom. I made a new wiring harness for the engine and during the starting process managed to hydro-lock one of the cylinders full of gasoline. I pulled the spark plugs to plunge the gas out, and while turning the engine over, the battery lead hooked up to the harness sparked. The fuel ignited and sent a fireball towards the garage. By sheer chance, the flaming gas landed directly on another 5 gallon tank of gas. The garage more or less exploded. It went up so fast that there was literally no stopping it.

nice! as steve can attest to as well, the ruger lcp is a great pocket 380 as well. i got a crimson trace laser for mine for 130 bucks...just snaps on around the trigger guard. tons of holsters available too for the crimson trace.

Bersa is a bit big/heavy. Bodygaurd sux dick. I looked at a couple and just couldn't get excited about it.
My LCP is awesome. I shoot it fairly rapidly at 30' and can easily place all 7 rounds in an 8" target repeatedly (no crimson trace here.). Its reliable, accurate, affordable and concealable. WTF do you not like?!

Size? Its a hair smaller than the bodygaurd and despite being a long heavy DA pull, I feel like its a good bit better than the bodygaurd.
I like Smith products, but that's one I feel like it needs serious improvement. In all fairness, I did handle a first production run model, so they could be slightly different now...

And you'll have to buy another one. Its a bit more comfortable to carry than my Glock (its just a tad smaller all the way around), and is a great shooter. Unfortunately it does not shoot to point of aim. Gonna call Smith one of these days about it. Its off for both windage and elevation..

I really want something smaller in size to carry in the summer: G26/27 or LC9 maybe. Even a Kahr if I can get a decent deal on one.

It's all together minus the battery and dump pipe. Still have a considerable amount of time re-mapping it in Link before starting. Going from Big16/MAF/550's/255 to 10/1comp/60Big/SpeedDens/1500's/255+450LPH requires some changes in the tune. Still waiting on some N20 bits and pieces as well. I broke a finger yesterday, so need a few days off of wrenching.

It'll make a pass or two at the fall race before this tranny expires in a blaze of glory.

Who needs drag tires anymore? Just pick up a set of Camaro wheels and tires. :idb: Do people actually believe this non-sense. The chief engineer of the Camaro ZL1 claims to have pulled 1.69 60ft times and lifted the front tire off the ground on street tires. Yes the ZL1 is an IRS car........you have to pull pretty damn hard out of the hole to pick up a tire with that. They are Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires. 305/35ZR20 if anyone wants to go pick up a pair :crazy:

Anyone played the Forza: Horizon demo yet?

It has the NFS feel to it, although it feels a lot better than NFS. It also has some Dirt style elements. Idk man, this one may disappoint some Forza fans but heck I love it. A lot of time will be wasted on this game once it comes out. I like the fact that it kept the driving feel in the earlier games even though the handling's a little bit more forgiving to fit the fact that there are no racing lines because you are driving on open free roam roads.

Someone I know is looking and the question got me thinking. Would you rather go all out performance like the base 5.0 Mustang GT? Or a loaded Focus ST? Maybe a Subaru BRZ since its reported to be an amazing drivers car?

I know it depends on what the car will be used for and how important performance is in making the decision but Im just curious what other people think. It will be used as a DD. Any car you can think of. Im just trying to help brainstorm even more.

how's the shift throw? My new edge mustang had what seems like the longest throw in the world, and my 350 is way short. I would say it was almost a foot from the top of 1st to the bottom of 2nd in my new edge, while its maybe 4" in my Z.

I know with a stock or mildly stock 03/04 Cobra wheel hop will kill those axles if you're drag racing. If you're doing it to go around a track then you'd be off to a good start with that stock IRS setup. You could consider looking into a 8.8 Ford solid axle swap to save some weight from the IRS Check out the Boss or Shelby going around a track. You can get them to handle pretty damn well :goodjob:

Ooooo I see what you're saying. IRS brace will fix that. Billetflow and Steeda both make a good product and its around a couple hundred bucks. No more broken dif covers.

Been busy with setting up a freshwater African Cichlid tank. Im having a blast doing it! I just have 1 Electric Blue(No its not dye injected) at the moment. Its a 20 long tank so I'll only have 4 fish in it when its finished. They can be somewhat aggressive depending on the species. Come spring I'll probably throw more parts on the GT500 and see what she'll throw down.

Saltwater can get insane in prices. Freshwater isnt nearly as bad but you can still dump a lot in a nice setup and some pretty expensive fish. Im absolutely loving it so far. I did cough up some mod money but its all good.

I only have 977 miles on my car since it arrived at the dealer on June 12th. Im pretty sure modding that car is the worst financial decision ever hahah. O well, I cant stop :crazy:

When I used to work at the Meriwether county landfill It would be a straight shot down I85 off of exit 28. Id have to be there at 3:30am to open up and on two occasions I trailed a half mile or so behind cop as we both cruised around 120. This was back in my '03 Cobra. Fun times in that car thats for sure.

Not really, I would pretty more destroy a 700rwhp Shelby from a dig, I'm only making like 636 but I weigh about 800lbs less ontop of the new suspension. He's welcome to come try, he can even have one car to help even it out.
