Idk...I was too horrified to look at the moment, and I'm waiting for it to cool down outside. Whether it starts up tomorrow or not, an inspection is in order.

If it's messed up, then I'll kill my brother. He's been driving it a lot lately and he almost crashed it the last time I was in the car with him. Something goes wrong every single time he drives it!

ha thanks. im going to try to bring it out friday if i can get my license on thursday. i love it that thing. took it out for a quick test ride down my street. its an 09 iron 883. only 3000 miles on it. some guy just traded it back in thursday to the harley shop on hwy 16. good price with a couple upgrades, couldnt pass it up.

i was using my 50mm F/1.8. cool little lens. heres a couple others....

I almost picked one up right after I sold my '07 R6.

MY buddy and I wanted to buy together, we couldn't work a deal with the guys at the HD dealership so we walked.

I'll be back later the year to get one - we'll have to get together and ride.

As much as I would enjoy a bike, there are just too many distracted *cough*woman*cough* drivers that would hit you in a sec. A friend of mine, which happens to race motocross, was seriously injured a couple weeks ago while riding through some mountains in Mississippi; drunk driver drifted into his lane coming from the opposite direction, hit head on at 60mph and left the scene of the accident. He's probably the best rider I've met and this has forced him to retire his hobby.

Nice bike Tommy but please be careful out there. I'm sure you've heard the ol' saying, ride like someone is out to kill you.

after everything, right under 8. i grew up riding dirtbikes, and rode friends streetbikes. this is the first real bike i have owned. i signed up for the riders edge course up at HD. 4 day course then take the documents up to dmv and i get my license. sucks that i wont be able to take it until july 9th. i went into HD around january and they had a bone stock iron sitting in the front. i fell in love with it then. they were running a special if you bought it during certain months, trade it in and get all your money back. someone bought it, put only 3000 miles on it and traded it in. so this was the exact same bike i saw a few months ago with a couple little things done. they havnt even put it on the floor yet. def wouldnt take long to sell. i was looking at nightsters since i couldnt find any irons but was just a little to much for me.

yea they always say rain or shine. my dad took his about 3 months ago. it was pouring the whole time. hopefully weather will be alright, definitely going to be hot though. they are almost done building an extra small building for the saturday cookouts. havnt been to one yet.

So, my check engine light came on. This car is starting to be more trouble than it's worth. I might just call Porsche and complain and say they faulted when making this specific car (I know they'll get angry with that one). Never have I known a Porsche to have THIS many problems within the same month. This is the second time the check engine light has come on this month AND the car wouldn't start like....last week.

this whole new car thing blows... i finally decided that i wanted a mazdaspeed3... but then as i'm doing my research... find out they have this tendency to blow motors with very few mods (or no mods at all).. so that sucks... i'm not gonna buy a car that will be at the dealership getting fixed all the time

so now i'm trying to find another car with similar qualities and price.. and I can't... the closest thing i've found is a cobalt SS sedan... but i dont think i can see myself in a cobalt.. or the volvo c30 (inline 5cyl 2.5L turbo 6 speed hatchback)... which i love from the front.. but i cant decide if i like from the back.. not to mention there isnt really a volvo dealership anywhere close.. :cussing:

IMO, no Volvo. The front is elegant and sporty but the rear end looks like it just got some. Plus, the shifter location is annoying (for me anyways) as everytime I went to downshift into third, my ring finger would turn the stupid A/C on lol!

What about the new WRX? Plenty fast and if you want to mod, it's waiting for you. GTi is also a nice choice if you want something turboed - with a basic APR reflash you're looking at around 260 hp.

Eh...not too worried about it. Sales for cars have gone down for everyone, so, why wouldn't it affect Porsche? Last I read, the sales were really only seriously affecting the Boxster and Cayenne and not so much the Cayman and 911, but I could be wrong. Plus, they have yet to release the Panamera (not sure when. September, maybe?) which they think will boost their sales. Though, I'm not sure how people will handle the $89,000+ price range. Time will only tell though. Porsche will bounce back!!

Do you have to pull the rotating assembly out to change the piston rings? If it's not evident already I know Zero about import engines.

On a domestic to pull the pistons, you have to remove the rods and sometimes the crank. Therefore you need to change all of the bearings on whatever you pull.

That's why I was assuming you'd be buying bearings as well.

you just need a non vtev d series head. A d15b7 head should be eay to come by as should a whole running D15b7 motor.

If it was a rod bearing more than likely it would be rattling even at idle. I'm not saying they always do, but everytime I've seen bad rod bearings they've always rattled at idle as well.

tein springs are a nice, comfortable, moderate drop with about 1.75 inches and should even out your wheel gap.

they'll be fine with stock shocks.

Well Teng kicked his ass and here's a video of me and a friend of mine racing. He's got a 2002 AP1 will an AEM cai test pipe HKS exhaust and possibly a header. He puts about 1 &1/2 - 2 cars on stock S2K's (seen numerous vids to back that up)
So this mazda should just be a waste of gas on the street (as long as there's no funny business :ninja:), but the track: don't know since I really have no clue how to launch on sticky pavement. lol
