Def run full braided, dont fuck with trying to bend hard lines under your car. Major PITA. I just wasted 2 25 foot coils of 1/2 Aluminum Line trying to do mine on the garage floor. Kinked the hell out of it and ended up going with -8 steel braided the whole way instead.

damn....sounds like a lot of time wasted. well the kit comes with hard nylon tubing but im gonna get the braided lines instead. its about 90 bucks extra and i feel that not having to worry about the lines at all is totally worth it.

yeah i think it will be a blast!! i scaled things back quite a bit with the build but i think i can get 450 reliably out of a dd tune. im spraying meth purely for the cooling on the dd tune, and on my race tune we will add some timing and kick the boost up a bit for 500-525whp. i'd love to push it and run a 10.99 but id rather it be in one piece. we will see how it all turns out

If you're referring to the older TR6060's with the 2nd gear grind issues, yes that has been fixed. The gears are cut completely different.

The MT trans in the GT's are another issue by themselves.

Steve, I agree with you on the interior. However, I will say based on the 2012 GT500 I worked on not to long ago that the steering wheel and seats had an extremely sporty and quality feel. Ford has stepped it up quite a bit and this is coming from a guy who is not a fan of made in America.

I know that Ford has changed to many soft touch materials in the interiors of their cars, but they still have many hard plastics. The interiors have definitely improved.

Just finished reading this book and it was phenomenal, especially coming from someone who NEVER reads! Ford was a lot worse off then I knew and it was amazing that they turned around from the shit hole they were in.

I really can't afford either at the moment, but C5 as its will be more realistic financially- I don't want to get in over my head financially. I want to be able to own a car, pay for the required maintainance, and still live comfortably with little financial strain, ya know? lol
Seriously though, I know the C6 is much better, but honestly, I feel like the C5 would be adequate for me and what I want to do/build. My other option is a subaru "oriented" (< key word)build that could potentially be a reality sooner than the Z06...

In the 3 laps they ran each car the Shelby put up 2 fasters laps then the ZL1's fastest. The 3rd lap was .12 behind the fastest ZL1. Sometimes I dont get journalism but its whatever. I'd rather have the car that wins in actual "tests", other than opinions about comfort and which would be the more comfy daily driver. Because people spend 60K on a muscle car to have the most comfy daily driver :crazy: :thinking:

The Boss 302 is an amazing vehicle. I'd recommend atleast a 2012 and go straight to the dealer and order the Red Track Key. Its like $350 and it literally changes all the perameters in the computer. Look up some youtube videos and you'll see what I mean.
The base model Boss is a great car and you can get them new for not as much mark-up, if any. They Boss LS was hard to get when it first came out but you can find some used and even 2012 new that dealers have held onto. The 2013s are being marked up from what I've seen.
If you're going to do hardcore autocross or something along those lines then I guess the LS is the better choice. There really is no right or wrong way to go. Id personally get the LS because its a more limited model run but I know a lot of people get the base and with way less $ than the LS option you can turn the base Boss into a badass track car. Even more so than the base LS. The LS have rear seat delete which you probably already know which is really neat.
The only bad thing about the LS is that they dont have as many color options. I think the 2013's you can only get in Black or Yellow but the stripes are reflective which is a neat touch like the originals. Recaros are a must and if you go with the base model you can order the Recaro and Torsen differential package as well.
Good luck and Id recommend browsing Mustang forums in Boss threads for more indepth answers. The question between which Boss to get have been brought up numerous times :goodjob:

I will deff take a look at the mustang forums and do some more research! I appreciate your input and would love to see your 200mph car sometime :)

The Black and Red was the original model year color along with I believe Silver and Red. They do not offer the Track Key option either for that model year I dont believe. The only LS colors for the 2013 are Black on Black and Yellow on Black.
There are people who have owned/own a 2012/2011 GT500 and the Boss 302 and from the majority of the reviews Ive read they prefer the Boss. If you're not looking to spend GT500 money Id go 2013 Boss LS Yellow on Black and call it a day. Not quite as good as a track car as the Shelby but its cheaper and to be honest....a supercharged track car doesnt make much sense. Heatsoak would be a bitch running lap after lap hahahha
I believe Gene Evans in Union City has a 2013 Yellow and Black base Boss 302 in their showeroom.

Seems pretty fair for what comes with it,im not sure price wise what they are going for,im more of a nikon guy. If you do pick up a dslr i would highly reccomend purchasing a 50mm 1.8,best lens for the money by far.

lol....dunno....what ive been reading says that the canon's are a little slower but take a better quality photo. with kids and sports and whatnot that is definitely a factor for me. think im gonna run by wolf in ptc tomorrow and just look at some stuff. and i need a little 101 in things too so i know what all the abbreviations in the lenses mean and whatnot. was looking between the t3i/t2i and the d5100/d3100

I like our d5000 just fine... I think it depends on the operator... but I've never compared my shit skills on a d5000 to my shit skills on something more expensive...

I only use All Speed for my alignment needs; partially because I don't have much choice, I need the in-ground, but also because it is a quality alignment. My most recent one went out of whack quick, but that may be a vehicle related issue. We have yet to investigate.

The only lens that's worth a shit in that kit is the 50mm. The 18-55vr is pretty good if you're Michael J Fox and you're trying to shoot pics while on crack. If not, find someone giving away a regular 18-55 for cheap.

So I just did some research and the VR version of that lens is about the same price as the regular one. You don't want to mess with all those wide angle converters or that cheap flash that comes with it. If this is your first SLR cam, get a D3100 and save yourself 100 bucks.

Well i want the flip out screen and the external mic jack for video so i think im gonna go with the 5100 anyway. I just dont know much about this stuff or the lenses. I dont think i will ever get into it enough to warrant super high dollar lenses. The 1.8 was something corbin and others recommended so that is something that is a definite.

I'll use Allspeed for anything really; not just limiting anything to alignments. I never got around to getting an alignment on my Accord after the swap was completed so I needed one. Then I got the phone call that I was hoping for so I need to wait a little longer.

Still haven't decided whether or not I am going to swap everything over to the new shell or not worry with it.

I feel like its just not enough power though. Like I said, the idea of it is cool. A fun light weight sporty car but if you have to floor it just to merge onto the highway? I have a problem with that. I dont think I'll ever get away from raw muscle though.....its just way to much fun :goodjob:

Trust me it is enough power. I have never had more fun in any car I have ever driven then in my Miata. It only has 120hp stock and that was 18 years ago, who knows how much power has been lost over the years. Yeah, I would love to have more power, but even now it is still so much fun to drive.
