From what I've heard from people is alot of them really like the Z1's and even more like the Kumho's. Like you, I have never really been a fan of the Kumho's though. I do hear the New NT05's are decent. I just read a good article on the NT05R's, MM&FF picked up quite a bit of time using those as opposed to the Older 555r's. Of course thoase are both Drag Radials so I don't think you would be using them but it's still nice to see Nitto is trying to keep up with consumer wants.

I'm actually about to go get a set of 275/50/R15 ET Streets right now for the back of the shitbox. I gotta get my 60ft times under 2.0 and running my awesome Pirelli P-Zero in a super sticky 235/55/R17 just ain't getting it done at the Strip (can you feel the sarcasm)!!! My average 60ft was around 2.3 with my quickest at 2.067. SO hopefully these will get me down to the 1.7 range.

I rotate my tires every week or two, swapping the fronts to rears.
I had Kuhmos when I had stock 15s. I have them now that I have low-profile 17s.
I've rolled into curbs, burned rubber, and just all around drive hard.
The Ectas I have right now are more quiet and have better handling and traction than the Falkens I had before. And at $50 each from Discount Tire (not including mounting and balancing and warranty), I'm surprised.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Some 905,000 Chevrolet Cobalts built between 2005 and 2009 are the subject of a preliminary evaluation by federal officials because of complaints that drivers may lose control of the electronic power steering system.

In a filing on its Web site, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said it has received 1,132 complaints alleging the sudden loss of control of the compact car, with 754 of the complaints received in the past six months.

NHTSA said there were 11 complaints that a sudden increase in steering effort led to a crash, with one injury attributed to the problem.

"GM is cooperating with NHTSA in its preliminary evaluation of power steering in the 2005-2009 Chevrolet Cobalt," said Alan Adler, a spokesman for General Motors Corp., maker of the Chevy Cobalt, in a e-mail.

Officials at NHTSA and the Department of Transportation said it's not their policy to comment on preliminary evaluations.

The truck I have my eyes on is a bagged 94 Toyota which I sold the bike for in the first place. Good thing is the bed of it isn't a total hack job so a majority of it is still useful. But I have $4k to play with and finding a Honda that I really like is getting difficult. Most of what I found either needs work or won't pass emissions without spending more than I have.
