LOL nope.. SILLY YOU!!! I am yet to see the true reasoning for shooting in RAW so i dont.. but i can because I have CS2.. :LMAO:

some people really act like that. unless you do CRAZY amounts of post processing i dont think its needed to shoot in RAW.

I normally do shoot in JPEG, but i was shooting some infrared shots that have to be post-processed, and a couple other things i figured would make it better if i shoot in RAW

nothing wrong with shooting Jpeg..but when it REALLy matters(like when u have a paying client or doing shoots in a studio) Raw is the only way to go.Why would u want to shoot and not get ALL the info in the pic..Especially helpful for you mofo's that haven't figured out the concept of lighting and white balance. RAW provides all the photo data so you have more flex room to fart with adjusting the image and less chance to lose vital image data as you mess with the image.You have more options for editing because you can apply all those in-camera processing alternatives on the PC/mac and evaluate the result and change as necessary. An in-camera processed JPEG locks down a lot of options (just try to adjust WB on a JPEG... it's not as easy). Also you are typically working with a 12- or 14-bit file instead of the 8-bit JPEG so there's a lot more dynamic range and chance for adjustments without posterization and artifacting.

Very true :goodjob: alot more flexibility with messing around w/ RAW images. I want to get a new camera so I can mess w/ my photos more since the only SLR I have is a standard film Nikon not a digital.

Well said brotha.. I have taken images in raw and you are correct there is wwwaaaayyyyy more things you can do with the image and keep quality.. Maybe i will start playing with raw on a more regular basis.. Its just time consuming to have to go through image after image.. but i will definitely look into using it more though.. Always good to hear a PHOTOGRAPHERS input..

i'm not gonna lie dude..its a pain in the ass at times go thru em..especially those days when u fill your card up..but sometimes the end result is well worth it.

I'm thinking of getting a new camera and have been looking at the Nikon D60 w/ 18-55mm Lens and 70 - 300mm lens. and pros or cons on this camera if anyone knows? Just tired of using an Advance Point and shoot (SOny Cybershot not the pocket sized one either)

Thanks! I use a Canon XTI and either the Sigma 10-20mm or the Canon 24-70mm. I really like the wide angle because I don't have to back up as far to get everything I want in the shot. The truck picture could have easily been done with the 24-70mm lens but I was too lazy to change it.

Got called outside couple mins ago to see the blooming of this flower. I don't know what it's called in English, but this is a very strange flower. It's hard for it to bloom, and it only blooms at night for a short while, then dies in the morning.

Needless to say, grabbed my gear for 2 quick pics. I forgot to use the tripod, so the focus is off a little bit. Also, the flower is so fragile that I can't really touch or move it. It's hidden behind the branches, so I tried the best to sneak the lens in there. Nevertheless, I hope you guys enjoyed it.

nice shots....hotshot. i like the 1st one. the second one bothers me cause im OCD about sidewalks being 100% straight in photos lol

I was on a 20ft. Boston whaler, but it was still relaxing either way.... I have other shot I just need to upload them to my photobucket... :goodjob:

Just finished making this into my wallpaper.

Got a FUGA rental car at Nissan in Hiroshima and took a little time to take pics lol.

1600x900 if you guys need different resolutions lmk. It may be a bit dark for some of you, but for some reason the laptop screen made it look VERY bright.

The other was taken on the road leaving my house.. much better shot IMO as well..
