It was a 30 second exposure at f/10 with ISO200. I did have a custom white balance and a few other changes for the settings but that is about it. Yes, I also used a tripod.

Am I the best, no. i do what i can with my camera. What ever though. Since we are being honest, I dont like those HDR shots that you do. Do I leave negative comments about them, no. Next you have some "tips" about my photography, pm me but until then, you do what you do and I will do what I do.

I stood in the same spot taking pictures for about 3 hours to get the shots that I needed. This pictures was made using a shot taken at sundown to get the colorful clouds and another shot from later in the night to make the buildings more than just a silhouette.

Camera settings for both shots:
Sundown shot was f11 ISO200 .02Sec
Night shot was f8 ISO200 5Sec

While I was taking pictures of the television I noticed the light bulb floating near me. I positioned the light bulb over the reflection of the sun while my fiancée Mary took the picture.

it's not that hard to do... well for most people w/ the capacity to learn it, and the facilities i.e. Art Institute of Atlanta...

I had never tried getting lightning shot before and sure as hell know nothing about it. That picture was just luck. Manual, 1.6, Hard shutter, with remote trigger locked. So it was just taking pictures over and over. So I got kinda lucky. I definately wasnt expecting that. I wish I had a smaller lens still.

Have you successfully gotten lightning shots before?! Using a strobe sensor for the shutter or just manually doing it? I see it's a 1.6 second shutter speed...

Of course that would make the photo alot darker so you would need to decrease the shutter speed to compensate...which would make the taillights and headlights one long continuous line of light instead of starting and stopping. Just an idea!

Did you get attacked by mosquitoes? The middle is full of stagnant water that is a breeding ground. I went there last summer and did not get a single shot before they were swarming around me. All the pictures I posted were during the winter to keep from having that problem again.

i did..i was there about 3weeks ago..and it had rained several hours earlier and...saw pools of water everywhere..i was like f this..took a few shots..and got out of there...wanna re-visit it one day..i'll post what i took there later on

(and i barely used it)...I think its like 20 ft or so. and when i shoot from behind, i just point the remote down @ the sensor out of the way of the lens. It just keeps you from having to press the button on the camera body to release the shutter, keeps extraneous vibration down.

Nice DO...what program are you HDRing with?
this is actually not HDR. i made SEVERAL alterations with CS2. :goodjob:

i noticed the edits i make tend to give off that HDR effect though :thinking: :dunno:

Awesome Chiaroscuro. I love this effect, but I am used to seeing it highlighting the human body but it worked for this car!!! Especially with the curves in it.... OMG! Reps if I can
