like the perspective a lot, gettin down low but it just seems it needs a tad bit more contrast with this B&W conversion.

Good picture. Saw this car in person at a car show in Blairsville. Never seen the body of a car dropped lower than the drive shaft and the diesel piston headlights were awesome.

Thanks! This was the first time I shot a car with the multiple strobe firings like this. The layer with the strobes in it is pretty cool but I couldn't bring myself to post it up as the end result.

Looks a little front focused in both= eyes not as sharp as they can be. Are you using your focus points or are you spot and swiveling?

nope. she is a friend that works in the modeling industry but is not a model... she works big castings and helps pose the models for the shoots. my girl is in the set (in the water) but she was not there to be in it really.

redr1 has a D80, and we can share gear. He also just got a T3i, so I am learning some about Canon as well.
We went a couple of weeks ago to the mtns to get some pics, and learn more about the cameras. Just learning the basics for now.

Today I photographed this old German shotgun/rifle for identification purposes...
I would have loved to shoot other angles and details, but it was not required.
It actually has a 9mm barrel under the 2x 16ga barrels! I think I gathered that
this was a WW2 treasure but they have to identify it first...Quite a treat.

nice capture.

some pp on this and it will shine. the magenta is a bit strong and you could stand to darken the background to make your subject stand out a little more. I'd also clean up the curves in photoshop to take some of the haze out.

I haven't been posting any lately, as I have been taking a lot of photos (around 4000 this month), and haven't had time to organize them all. I also picked up a Nikon N70 film SLR with a 50mm 1.8 and a 19-35mm that I am starting to play with.

Took a trip to the Atlanta Zoo the other day, shot about 700 photos. After trimming them down, I still had 175 that were interesting enough to keep (more than enough). Took a bunch with the 500mm set on the wrong manual settings, and they all came out black, but I managed to recover all of them with Lightroom. Some of the animals (giraffe, zebra, gorrilla, etc) just won't get close enough for a 200mm to work, luckily I brought the 500mm with me.

I have one speedlight/stand. So lastnight I popped the cam on a tripod took a shot w/the light on one side moved the light to the opposite side and took another shot. I combined them together in p/s.
