No.. he signed the invoice when he came to pick up the car. I told him the car was done, and it was painted. If he was not happy with the job, then he should not have signed, pointed out things that he was not happy with, and there would have been no problem at all... no hard feelings. But he DID sign, and I was very careful in the way that I worded the invoice, so it is simple and to the point. And he signed saying that the work was done to his specification (which was painting the car) and that the work was done to his satisfaction. We were not rushing him or anything when he came to pick it up, and it was broad daylight and the car was outside. He had all the opportunity in the world to inspect the car. As a business, it's not our problem that he didn't, but we worked on the car AFTER he signed it as a gesture of goodwill, and he took it and threw it right back in our faces.

Hm so why did I bring it back after being so pleased with it? We went over everything and you said it needed to be repainted and I agreed. I had no idea that you were trying to screw me over by getting me to sign the so called receipt which was 5 minutes after you said it needed to be resprayed. I brought it back after that and you buffed it a little and told me it was really nice and to come and get it. I signed that the first time remember? Ha Ha you don't even know what your saying now. Geez get your story straight.

I did not post up a pic of the red car to "brag" about it, or to make it look like a show quality car. That pic is unretouched, and I just put it up so that it was a more fair judgement, seeing as the only photos people had seen of it were from 1/2 an inch a way

It's not my fault that you either didn't read what you signed, or didn't inspect the car fully upon delivery. Patrick agreed to buff it again and get a little more shine out of it, which is more than he should have done, but he did anyways.

do you own the shop or does he? he should be talking to the owner, if both of you are owners then you dip****s need to get together and figure out how to make this right for bug, seeing this guys painting skills would automatically let me know i shouldnt include letting him repaint any vehicle as an option to make things right...

We've done other work and have had no complaints, and upon realizing that this was going to be an issue, we started offering alternative lines of solution. That's the best we can do.

Did you or did you not tell Miles (Kreep) that they were a very close match when he came and picked up the hoods? I didn't directly "tell" it to him. I made a comment when we were inside the shop that the difference in the two colors was much less drastic than when it was outside. I also commented when we got outside that it was ONLY inside/in reduced that they looked close-ish, and that maybe that's why the paint shop owner and Patrick thought they were close, because they were inside and working with a 1"x1" swatch

Man I love how you do business. Now everyone knows just by what you said that if they don't read your fine print they will get a shaft up their azz. Totally awesome professionalism! There's nothing fine about the print. It is right there, in size 14 font, and simply worded. I didn't hit you with pages and pages of tiny writing. I intentionally worded it simply and concisely, so that there would be no confusion about it. I would think that someone who makes and spends as much money as you do would know to read before you sign. Tell me, when you sign up for a credit card, do you just go with "oh they lend me money then I pay it back", or do you read what you sign? And there is no shafting up any asses. We did a lot of work on those cars for what you paid us, and I can guarantee that had you taken it to Sprayglo or Superior or any other privately owned shop you would have been quoted more than what you paid for a lot less work.

While going to school for automotive collision repair/paint I've seen people who have NEVER painted a car before make a car come out 100x better than that.

Repaint the man's car. (using another painter/prep). Send it to maaco (bc you obviously can't handle an all-over paint job.)

color matching isn't hard either, take a sample to the paint store and they will scan it with there computers and come up with an exact match. (i've done this with multple cars with different color paints)

Even if he did sign the papers, do you not have pride in what you send out of your shop? I sure as hell wouldn't be proud of those 2 cars, matter of fact if ANY cars came out of my shop like that I would personally quit doing this type of work and rethink my career.

I am the 1 that made the 1st thread and started this,because bugman is like family to me and i was upset,he never once wanted it to get out and blow up like this. I am pretty sure those cars will never see rockstars so called "paint booth" again considering damage is done.But the fact that she is showing ppl pictures of the car after this is already over with,and she is trying to cover up there fu**up just blows my mind when every 1 has seen how the paint is on pictures. And if u guy's was to see it in person u would take it upon yourself to go buy some spray paint and make it look 100times better.

I would think that someone who makes and spends as much money as you do would know to read before you sign. One thing you will never learn and that's why I think you will never succeed in any business. Pay close attention to what I am telling you. Really.... I usually make at least $1,000 a day in deals that are on handshakes or just my word. Your respect of not holding to a deal because you have something in writing just goes to show your major fall back (other than the quality of work). Heck just today I probably made/guaranteed over $2,000 to people that I have never met and they know that I am good for it just because I said so. What is real funny. My son Austin was with me and he never questioned it. He along with many other people know that when I tell someone I will do something that is in my control it's in blood regardless of what any paper says. Don't even try to dispute that, it is something that people like you will never understand.

I just don't understand how you think your going to get anywhere back peddling this much and trying to run a business doing the same thing.

Just the rear spoiler? I remember the drivers door being my main concern along with 30-40 other issues. I honestly don't think their is one panel on this car that would pass a Maaco approval.

Once more I will gladly point out the issues on the "GOOD" side that she chose to brag on with that message.

Maybe they just couldn't see all the blemishes on the car. I think the painter needs glasses, Or too many years in the paint booth with no respirator....but if that was the case he would have a lot more experience and have done a better job.

You know whats funny, the jams, all the trim (bumper, unfinished tailgate letters, grille trim, windshield/rear window trim) and grille inserts were painted with 99 cent walmart spray paint! I ran out of the red before I did the grille/headlight bezels cause I only had a gallon for the whole thing.
