i don't know bugman from the bugs around my house, but just from the thread in his sig alone i can tell he's an upstanding guy so i'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt here for sure even w/o seeing any pics...

with that said, now that i've seen pictures of the car, i'm f*cking blown away. i didn't even know cars could look that bad. i mean sh*t i've seen cars straight up spray painted that looked better than that "paint job".

and seriously? those are pics of the "shop"? motherf*cking wow, the sh*t that passes for a business these days is amazing. if you would've only shown me only one side of that shop i would have no problems believing it was a septic tank cleaning company, bc place straight up looks like a where george and ran takes their "friends" after school

Its all about the person, i personally could take a shop that size and turn very high quality mechanic work out of it, or even decent paintwork (better than has been shown).. but the person has to have the knowledge and drive.

An autistic 5 year old could have painted those cars better with only crayons and managed to stay in the lines...

Why is everyone getting involved? Because this is a public service announcement so none of us will have to go through this BS that this business put Bugman through. If I were him, I would be contacting a lawyer.

And I know Emily might be a really nice person, with a cool personality or whatever, but if she is as cool as people keep saying she is, she would not of let this happen, and she would have taken responsibility for her business' actions. That is part of being a business owner.

Honestly because of her reputation now she is already toast, which is unfortunate, but from what I have seen I would not want to put anyone else through what Bugman has gone through.

I know bugman and he is a great guy who was trying to help someone by throwing some work their way. They threw back some sh!ty work one of which was painted twice and they still came back looking like crap. I am not trying to bash anyones shop or anyone in general but when you put out work like that and then turn around and talk sh!t and tell people that "bugman is crazy those cars were perfect when they left the shop".....I am sorry but that is jsut wrong. I saw these cars in person and they both have been painted by a fuccing retard. That guy travis need to find a new job! You can't not honestly tell me that those came out of that shop and looked good!
It would be best if the owner of the shop just admitted that these were crappy paint jobs and fire that no good retarted/drunk painter. Like I said I saw these cars in person and feel sorry that Bugman had to pay any amount of money for what he got.

Well like i have stated before i seen the cars when he brought them back, and if he would of asked what i thought of the paint job i would of pulled down my pants. pulled out my little wee wee and all over the car just to show him how they put the paint on I mean i could of covered more spots than they did. oh!! and i forgot to mention Just for pointers i noticed on the cars emily that who ever sprayed them put the paint on way to heavy because it had more build up than my bowels when i havent took a shi* in 2 weeks. So next time the dude paints some 1 car tell him to back off the car a little and not apply so much paint at 1 time.
I check sluts off my list like a maintnence man
I drive a low is3 just so it gives me a reason to drive super slow on these rough ga roads.

Could you please explain to me exactly your opinion on this situation in detail on here so no one can gossip anymore crap about me. This really pisses me off and some of it came from you from what I am understanding

Help me out here. Do you really think I should of been satisfied?
I don't know who you have been talking to, but I have never had a bad word to say about you. I also never said your cars had "top notch" paint jobs. I told a couple of people that they were NOT top notch paint jobs, but that the pics in the other thread were extremely zoomed in on and made small imperfections look huge. But I have never had anything but nice things to say about you, including going so far as to say that it was pretty cool that you were willing to keep our personal friendship and a business relationship seperate.

What I DO know is that things have been coming back at me that no one else but you would know, which lets me know that YOU in fact have been saying things about me. I was quite prepared to let this just die down, but since you insist on bringing it up, then I'll bite.

I also know that if you brought a car to any other shop, told them to "pick the color" and then it wasn't what you wanted, that they would more than likely not do anything, not offer anything, in retribution. But because I do think highly of you, we offered you not one but TWO options. Option 1 was we cut you a deep discount on an already discounted price and leave the car the way it was. We would have happily repaired any clearcoat drips/etc had you asked, and as I SAID when you came to pick up the blue car, we would be happy to bring it AND the red car back once our paint booth was up so that we would have a light enough space to work in and could really see well. Option 2 was for you to cover the cost of paint and we would sand down the blue car and re-spray it for you, in a color that you brought us the code for. We left the ball in your court on those, and you haven't said anything back to us.

I also know that we did a LOT of bodywork on both cars, some of which was discussed, some of it which was not. Repairing not one but TWO hoods, swapping/lining up 2 hoods, swapping rear bumpers, repairing hail dings, repairing a window molding, repairing a hole in the metal on the blue car that was showing signs of rust (small hole on A pillar between driver's side window and windshield)... we did a LOT of work. And there were plenty of times where Pat and I actually stopped and said "well, we didn't talk about this", but we went ahead and did it anyway, because we wanted you to be happy. The bodywork alone on the cars was worth MUCH more than the $650 you paid us, which is why I haven't offered you a refund.

And I don't know what you're trying to prove by putting up pictures of my shop. So it's not a huge, awesome building. So our landlord has his business right next to it and he runs a septic tank business. It's a place to work on cars. Nothing more, nothing less. The stenciled paint on the outside is left over from the people who were there before us because we have had other things to do aside from painting the outside. Our landlord just got done cleaning up the outside, and our next step is to worry about the exterior appearance of the building itself.

At the end of it, I have never had a negative thing to say, but I am getting irritated that you are mistaking kindness from me for weakness. I am NOT a pushover, and I'm not a wimp. No, I don't like confrontation, and will do my best to find a conclusion to a problem that makes everyone happy. Sure, I let things slide, like the fact that you insulted my shop the moment you arrived, but I do that because I have bigger fish to fry in this world. But, since you insist on continuing to bring this up, here's where I stand on it. I'm willing to forego the $300 in paint and materials that you basically stiffed us on for the blue car. If you want to make that big a deal about it, fine, keep it. It's yours. However, I am not about to refund you anything, based on the fact that Patrick and I BOTH offered you further services, which you declined, and offered you 2 options on the blue car, which you declined. We left the ball in your court, and you packed it up and went home with it. All of the offers that we made to you DO still stand, if you wish to think them over. But that's your choice.

    End of story.

once our paint booth was up so that we would have a light enough space to work in and could really see well.
You shouldnt advertise a painting service if you arent setup to do a painting service.

    Make sense?

thats like saying you work on cars, do a swap for someone, then say "oh we are sorry it looks like crap, but come back when we actualy have tools and we can do a much better job"

Any invoices made or signed by either party?

Invoices made AND signed for on red car, stating that the work we did is done to customer's specification AND satisfaction. Blue car we didn't make one.

And we admitted that we were painting before we were properly setup to, which is why we were (and still are) willing to take the cars back and repair them.

So because you he declined some sort of options, you decide to do shoddy work on his cars?

he probably meant to say beethoven, but even that wouldnt make sense considering beethoven was merely deaf and i dont really see that hindering his painting ability lol

Think of everyone on here as customers...........

1st -the body work done looks like trash.

2nd- paint should never come out looking like that first or the second time.

I have seen people paint a car outside w/ out a paintbooth that looked way better than those 2 mustangs did.

This is not a bashing of Emily This is just business nothing more.

    I was wondering.

I sat there thinking, Mozart wasnt deaf. Maybe Beethoven, but then again, he could see, so why couldnt he paint.

    + if I can

Where did you come up with all of that? Open a fortune cookie and post up what you thought it said?

Patrick told me the day I was coming to pick up the car that he would re-buff the Smurfette car and after that he was through with me and my junk. Heck he even refused to meet us up there but instead made you drive up there without a license. Remember? I talked to you about it and you said that he shouldn't of said any of that without talking to you first since it was your shop. He didn't even come up to discuss anything and at that point he was done with my junk. At that point I told him that we could just end it with the red car because buffing and waxing wasn't gonna help the Smurfette worth crap and after acting like that I really didn't want any of my cars there any longer. Just didn't seem like a smart thing to do. I mean would you leave your cars with someone that was cussing at you and telling you that they were not doing business with you anymore? C'mon now, you can change it around and make it sound as good as you want but that is what he said and that is why I wouldn't bother bringing Smurfette back for a buffing. You really think that will help anything on that job? Geez almighty that thing was pathetic.

I am not the one that gave the set prices, you did. If there was something extra to be added then it should have been discussed but you never said a word. (miscommunication) I also never knew anything about any holes anywhere with rust on anything, once again never mentioned to me and since they are my cars it probably would of been nice to inform me ya think? Also the bumper that you told me you sanded for 3 days was never touched. If it was then your doing something really bad wrong because it looks the same as it did before chipping and cracking.

Do we really wanna go to the body work part? I think I will take Nemesis up on his offer so then everyone can also see the $650 of body work that was done. I can do this all month long and if you think I owe you money you have lost your mind.

You told me in your shop that day that you were sorry and you knew that both cars needed repainting. You even said that you and Patrick needed to have a talk because of the quality of the paint. Then you post up that picture like it was a perfect paint job and I am the crazy one.

You two have a serious miscommunication problem. You said you had a sample for the dark blue paint and a good one because it came off in sheets. Then Patrick tells me that he forgot the sample but it was a very close match. I never told you to paint it any color you wanted. I trusted you and him with my exact words being to paint it the same blue or darker and to pick a color that wasn't gay. Therefore you failed miserably on both accounts.

I don't remember posting any pictures of your shop anywhere nor do I recall bashing your shop intentionally. I have also never said anything bad about you until today when you posted that picture up bragging on the paint job. That's okay...

BOTTOM LINE... Both of the cars you painted look like garbage and need more now than they did before you got them before they will ever look decent again. I have had 4 painted by a local shop for less with more work and look 100 times better. Notice the before and after pictures in the car picture thread. Look close because that's what a $500 paint job is suppose to look like. Oh and on the maroon one. They swapped, aligned and drilled the hood, fixed a dozen dings, the drivers door where someone backed into a pole and bent the crap out of it backwards, sanded the entire car (not using 80 grit like you did) then put a good quality paint job on the car with no runs, no drips, no deep sanding marks, no dry spots, no missed spots, etc, etc, etc, etc.....

That job cost me exactly $620.00 and I can gladly post the receipt up if you really wanna see it. Really, I don't mind at all.

Ok so you did extra work that wasnt agreed upon? thats your fault. and honestly after seeing the work done(multiple times) i dont blame him for not wanting to go ahead and get it repainted again jsut to be still fuked up. and the discounted price, what was the discount on? a good paint job, i know not.
lets look at it like this, you hire a guy to fix your roof, and lets say your parents or gf house., and he fuks it up once and agrees to redo your house again but still fuks up. would you let him attempt it again for the 3rd or 4th time?

You want me to pay for the paint again and let you try again? Why would I do that when I can get it done cheaper, 100x better, guaranteed work, no drama behind my back and in less than a week without having to take it back several times to get it right? Are you serious?

You know and so does he that he told me he was done with my junk. Back peddling ain't gonna work on this one. Once someone talks to me like that and tells me they are done doing business with me then I accept and never go in reverse. That is something a smart business person would react. No back peddling here. Not now, not ever.

This is really simple. Just look at the bottom line and where you stand with this now.

Oh before I forget... Do these two blues really look really close in color to you? I think you told several people that they were very close and even the paint supply place said so too. Once again, ARE YOU SERIOUS?

i wouldnt worry about frying "bigger fish"! your "shop" and i use that term loosley couldnt please a man with the good nature of mother theresa! who, from what i gather, could have taken his cars a million other places, but instead tried to help you out and this is the road you choose to take? why dont you just admit you f'd his cars up, fix them for free and try to salvage a future customer or two?
