BigD, you're right. In the mountains, power ain't everything. I ran the D15B2 against some turbo'd jetta's and I could hug their ass simply because I knew how to take turns. Suspension + lightweight + limited brake tapping = FTW.

BTW, just went out for some joyriding. Uhh...I'm adding "limited slip" to my list of mods...and "stickier rubber". Cuz I was taking one of my corps buddies for a quick joyride up here. Gave a tap on the e-brake and the ass-end spun around, and I opened her up. The car rolled backwards until I dropped the hammer. The car then continued it's slide in a diagonal direction. I had to let up on the throttle cuz it wouldn't track AT ALL. Smoke then rolled in through the center vent, and I was choked out so I let off until it tracked...

After I took off, there was line of cars passing me and went through it (after I'd left the scene, I saw them headed that direction). They're probbaly still out there looking for a "car that lost control" :lmao:

what up folks. havent been around havent been getting online. latest news, got another child on the way. wifey hit me with the news as im trying to eat a bite of food, and once delivered had to stop myself from choking and get my breathing back. ha ha. anyhow looking forward to it and cant wait to be honest. but looking for another job to get ready for this even considering going out to arkansas for cdl training school and go on the road for a year at the least. come back and get a local driving job but dont want to be gone.....anyhow, got my a6 into mcintosh maching shop in cumming off hwy 9 and taking crank and head there too really soon. good thing is that they balance EVERYTHING that they bring in so thats looking up! hopefully i can atleast drop it in soon. my brother, importslife, has been mingling on the site a little bit and he's a good guy, got a 91 rex and going through like his 900th motor....but im sure we both will be rididn up on a meet soon. ef9 will be coming to get one of those clusters soon. just money kinda tight with the build and had to get some tools off the matco truck this week, still looking for that right side mirror but i got a good feeling things will be coming along soon. so....just checking in and wanted to say what up!

well of course i will get those pics after the machining is done. seems like the guy that is doing it hasnt dipped into hondas too much but you could tell he wants to do it. i hope to get the block and crank back by the end of the week but the shop is kinda busy and it may take time which doesnt bother me cause i want it done right. took the girdle and crank there today at lunch and he told me he was gonna get on it but was gonna check out all the measurements and clearances before he started cutting away on it. you can tell he is good at his shit cause there were cars of every kind sitting in that shop and some beautiful ones at that. and this shop comes highly recommended by a guy i used to work with who is a mercedes tech and corvair owner/racer. hopefully he doesnt try to dig in my pocket too hard but bore and hone is gonna run 85 and polishing crank for 35 which includes balancing too! but we shall see, we shall see...till tommorrow sometime good night and good day~!

so, i got my car on the road today, got the wiring probles fixed, but some how i think the iacv went bad, took it out and cleaned it with the only thing i had (wd-40) didnt work but it doesnt do the low-high rev just studders at1.5k-2g anything else it drives fine..i should have a new one on thurday, so i will be good to go..
