Damn! I knew that there were some dumbass people out there, but kendogg and dinanm3atl FTMFL!

How you two became so twisted in your single-mided thinking is unknown, but you might want to actually open you eyes and understand that your cars are not "the shit" of all vehicles. BMW makes a nice car, is it the ultimate car....I think not. I has its positives and negatives. I personally, would not own a BMW. I do not like several things about the car, but that is my personal opinion.

Why are you so defensive about your cars when compared to others? Are you compensating for your pint size peter? Did you mother not breast feed you? Have you not gotten enough sex?

Face it, there are other cars out there that will beat your cars. There is always a better car.

Wow. I guess it's time for me to conceed. Not many here even take the effort to see my side fo an arguement, and both halston and I ended up being grouped together as 1 and the same type of personality. I'm done. I've been laughing the last 10 pages, but, lol, time to drop it. I've gone WAY too far into this, I never should've kept going as far as I've gone. I beleive 90% of what I've staetd to be as factual as I know of, and if I'm wrong, so be it. My oppinions are my oppinions, and they will stay as-is. Sorry for pissing everybody here off. You guys talk about straihgt-line racing, why not run a stock STi on the highway vs. a stock M3? Yeah, anybdoyu willa dmit that the STi will rape it off the line, but it's AWD< so be hoenst, it does have ana dvantage tehre. The gearing sucks for highway sue, thoguh, double overdrives, vs. the close ratio 5 speed the M3 uses, and yes, STOCK E36 M3's have slightly pulled stock STi's to the 155 mph limiter on the M3. Modded, thast a whole nother story. The STi becomes alot more of a monster with basic turbo mods.

Whats done to Miranda's car? I'm curious, as I don't erally know. I'd bet it could be a decent race. I know one thign, whenm I was at RA a few weeks ago, there were 2 STi's tehre, one bone stock, getting pulled by E36 M3's, and one was modded, but my god was that guy eating it up!

Yes, that is b/c the USDM M3 got the weak 240hp motor while Europe got the real 319hp one. The E36 M3 then became available in a 4 door sedan and an AUTOMATIC. Yes, an automatic M3.
With the E46, we got the same engine, the high revving 333hp I-6....
There is a rare E35 Lightweight that was sold.

FYI, I love both the E36 and E46 M3......the new one will be a V-8....M3 is adding more and more weight....

Europe also got a M3 CSL (lightweight)..(I really really would love to import this car)

Funny thing is in every comparo I have read, a Porsche 911 stock C2 (not even a 4WS or GT3) whoops the M3 and M3 CSL...

well DinanM3 has everyhing minus turbo/sc if i'm not mistaken and he makes 220whp... my 1.8t golf made more power on 19's

Your wrong. Stock to stock, an E36 M3 'usually' will pull on a stock STi, not froma dig, liek I said, but once you get up tehre, all the way to the 155 mpgh limiter on the M3. Do you not read paul?

RS4 weighs 3900 lbs. It has a 420hp V-8....AWD with 60/40 RWD bias, the first AUdi to do so for a more sporting feel.
M3 is 3300 lbs, 333hp, RWD...

In mags it has been a toss-up, some prefer the RS4, some still like the ligher M3.
The E46 M3 has just been a magazine darling...C55 and S4 cannot match in overall dynamics.

You're absolutely correct. This is exactly what several people have tried to say several different times. Comparing an M3 to a G35 is NOT a fair comparison. Comparing an STI vs an M3 from a DIG is also not a fair comparison. ANY car can and sometimes is better than ANY other car given the right mix of circumstances. But to say that my BMW's shit don't stink merely because it's a BMW is stupid because shit is shit. It stinks regardless.

Your buddy wants to race at a track, fine. Road Atlanta is a track, but so is Commerce and SDR. Why is one track a track and the other not in his book??? Because he'd get his ass handed to him in one and not the other. That doesn't make his car the ultimate anything, except in one place. That's been the point all along.

I'd put my money on Matt's SE-R, or Val's Evo, or Matt's WRX, or Patrycja's Supra, or Turbo Dave's 240, or Charles' Evo, or a ton of other people's cars against MR. Dinan and his M3 in a host of races. Problem is your buddy only wants to race in the race HE thinks HE has the advantage in ONLY. Don't be a pussy if you wanna run your mouth.

There is no way in hell a stock E36 is pulling on a Sti or much anything. We are talking 240hp to THE CRANK. 0-60 in high 5s-low 6s and low to mid 14 second 1/4 mile times. A stock Sti will rape that.

E36 M3 has 240hp to the crank.....it is not a drag car, it is an overall dynamics car, nimble chassis, great handling.
