He was tending to the wound in the kitchen when a man and woman who reside at the duplex came home and surprised him, Harr said. Richardson allegedly got into a struggle with the couple, and he was stabbed by a pocket knife the woman was carrying before fleeing on foot. “He may be injured, we do not know to what extent,” Harr SAID. “The residents are fine. They were a little surprised.” Authorities said Richardson knew the address because a letter had been mailed to him from there while he was incarcerated. The couple did not know Richardson, but one of their friends may be familiar with him, Harr SAID. Later in the day, another resident in the area came home to find Richardson at their home. While deputies were at the residence, a 911 call came in about a suspicious person in the area, SAID Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Stacey Kelley. Officers set up a perimeter and a Gwinnett police K-9 found Richardson’s trail, Kelley SAID.
