Was the guy that hit/kicked the other person arrested? If so, then obviously "talking shit" doesn't deserve an ass beating in the eyes of the law (in this case at least). Even worse, if he seriously/permanently injured that kid, he may face SERIOUS civil suit action against him. He could be fucked for life.

Rule of thumb: You can punch someone and feel good. However, if you really want to hurt someone, hit them in their wallet.
