Sounds like a winner.....and almost sounds like he had this all planned out, I wouldn't be surprised. Like others have said, contact your local or county police immediately. He paid you some money, made a verbal contract with you (useless if it goes to court) and disappeared.

I'll never get why anyone would sell a car and only take a partial payment....it's either all or nothing, which is the only way to avoid any "situations" in the future.
