natural C!
ASE did you read that wiki article? usually this info is pretty on point bc it is moderated by sports medicine doctors, im too lazy to get access to the online medical literature database right now, so the wiki article will do
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Creatine_kinase
OKAY, let me get this NEW? you know your body will break down whatever you put into it or you will piss/shit it out....
so in this case, if your body isn’t pissing/shitting out this 'new' type of creatine out b/c it doesn’t recognize it, then it would be breaking it down to the molecular level as creatine, so it would still have the same molecular structure of the 'OLD' creatine, thus having water as a byproduct, therefore causing 'bloating' in the scaromere (muscle cell)....
PS im not trying to be hard on you ASE, just educate you!
group hug?
bye babe
Very true....most people think if you take steroids and workout your normal routine you will become a monster. FALSE!! People that are on steroids and use them properly will work twice as hard as most people do naturally to see significant results.
I am gonna call bullshit; and half of your statement is true but everyone has a plateau point for their body naturally, supplements help aid in getting over that natural plateau
Your friends an idiot, just drink an ass load of water and you will never have a problem with it.
Sorry none of that is true unless someone is abusing supplements. I have been in the fitness industry for 8 years and have done the research. No products damage you if you take the proper dosage. Also if I was a professional athlete (or training to get to pro-status) I wouldn't touch a single supp either bc as soon as you gain 10 lbs you get called out for steroids.
Beef is essential in weightlifting thats why I stock up on grass fed beef and ground beef. And people forget that natural plateus are a bitch to break. ASE and SRT i recommend yall try the stuff called "Jack3d" its at GNC and has 40 servings in one little ass can. Its 30 bucks and works wonders. I was sponsored by the people who make NO Shotgun and came to the conclusion its not safe and its caffeine to creatine levels along with the mixtures of creatine were causing cramps and muscle spasms. Super Pump i started using when the product was 11.99 lol... Good stuff I recommend trying their matching carb loader if you want a crazy pump. NO Explode was good to say the least. But remember your pre workouts work best on an empty stomach as well as your creatine pills/powder. Body doesnt have to pick through the food in order for the supplement to hit your system.
Im surprised this hasnt been moved to the lifestyle section lol
Everyone responds to supps/med/riods differently. These products DO damage your body after repeated use, even if it is the proper dosage/cycling.
My husband plays hockey, a sport which riod and supp use is not widespread.
I coach triathletes, a sport that riod/blood doping/supp use is widespread. And recent deaths from usage have been an growing issue. The ITU and USAT only test pro/national team athletes so usage in age group athletes is a growing problem (where most the issues are coming from).
It all comes down to ethics in pro sports with the usage of supps/riods/doping. As far as the 'recreational' supp user is concerned, I still am strictly against it. And I too have been involved in national/international level competition and professional athletics for over a decade, been coaching for almost 9 years, and I have heard both sides and the gray area over and over again. I was encouraged by a couple of my coaches to go on creatine as an age group athlete and even now been offered vasodilators to race on, i said no thanks.
Some of you people have no idea what you are talking about when it comes to this subject.
Not all of these products damage you. I used to work out with guys that have been using supplements and different types of steroids and are in perfect shape. They are in their 40's and probably in better shape than your husband. Now some things are bad for you, but that's why you do your homework to weed out the bad ones. Hell technically alcohol is worse than marijuana, but which is legal?
O and another thing. You've been involved with national level sports since you were 14 or younger?
Also, anything and everything can be misused and/or abused. Some times you need that extra little push to get to a certain level. I wouldn't say become dependent on anything. Even if you do work out with no help from supplements you will never get really big. You will also loose it just as fast if you ever decide to quit working out. I tried working out natural for over year and never got anywhere. I kept the same routine of working out, which took me a year to perfect, and added supplements, then I started seeing wonderful improvements. I haven't worked out but maybe three times in the last year, but still have most of the strength I had while on supplements and some of the size. A lot of people love jumping on the band wagon about ALL supplements being bad. Just like roids. Hell look at Arnold Schwarzenegger, he used roids for a very very long period of time. He done it properly and even though he lost his huge build when he quit, he is still a healthy person.
Damn this makes me want to get back in the gym! I used to take creatine and NO explode. It's so hard to get motivated without a workout buddy. Anyone workout at lifetime in John's creek? Lol.
Tell me about it man. That's one of the reasons why I stopped working out. My friend is building a gym on his back porch fully inclosed and wants me to start working out again with him when he gets it done. I want to but it's so hard to get back into it after you have been out of it for so long.
But seriously, it takes a lot more research than a few google searches. Ask around on different body forums what others use, how they cycle, and so forth. Ask people at the gym you go too. I wouldn't suggest asking most people that work a nutritional supply stores or GNC, because from my experience I have only talked to three people at 9 different stores that actually knew what they were talking about. Most don't even know about half the products in the store. Whenever I used to swing by to get samples of different things to try, I've had several times happen to were I ended up explaining about different products to a customer because the employee working didn't know wtf he was talking about. All I'm saying is just don't listen to everything you hear without supplied evidence and you researching the stuff.
I am sure there are ALOT of ppl in better shape than my husband or I, that is beauty of competition, to make yourself better. I am sure some of these guys 'look' fine on the outside but riods specifically do horrible damage to ligaments/tendons/cartilage not to mention your organs, esp liver/kidneys. I am sure most of them will leave out injuries in their stories.
I have done my HW on this, ALOT of homework on it, with a bachelors and half way to my masters in exercise physiology. I favor more aerobic and endurance based physiology than supp/roid/power stuff. You have to look where you are getting your information from, are you getting it from the manufacturer or are you getting it from a third party, that has tested the product without sway from either end. You also have to take into account that none of these are government regulated and you are subject to having filler or replacement product, ie you are not really getting what you think you are. IMO the best place to get your information is from accredited medical journals such as the ACSM, etc.
And as far as national level athletics, first year qualifying for nationals in swimming was when i was 14, also the first of many training/testing trips to the Olympic training center in Colorado springs was that summer.
Like i stated before, there are many schools of thought on supp/roid use. I am just against it.
