To be honest, if you had the time to talk to them AFTER the incident and you sat on your hands says a lot about you. You don't need video evidence to whup someone's ass. You don't need pics to walk up to someone's house and tell their mommy and daddy that their little boy screwed up your car. You saw them do it? They thought it was just a prank? Well, turn the tables on them. Handle it like a man. Don't bitch out and plot how to do something gay like Vaseline on the door handles or sugar in the tank. Handle it like a man.
