    Well, my dad's car made it to the auction yard and there is still a chance that I can buy it back. From someone I know that works there, the cars sell anywhere from 15% to 25% of their face value; which for my dad's car that would be in the ballpark of that percentage of $20K.

    Out of curiosity, why would he want it back? Does he not feel violated? It seems if I were in that position I would never have a good feeling about the car again. I would be looking for another. That's just me though.

    He doesn't want it back. I do. I want to buy it back because I want it. I am not going to let some jerk off fucking low life thief get me down. I've known that car for 6 years now and a piece of my heart is in that car. If the price is out of my range, then I will let it go and move on.     I weighed my options last night and opted out of buying the Cobra back. Currently having two loans and about to add a third to buy my wife a used Honda, its not a justifiable idea at the moment. It sucks but it is what it is.
