Fender mirrors look awesome on CVCC. Good choice. It will definitely stand out in a crowd when you're done, without being gaudy.

Enlighten me on the years civics were considered cvcc. Baby J has a 77' correct??? Not too familiar with pre 88' civics...

    Lol, the fender mirrors look...lol.

Anyways: CVCC refers more to the motor family. You can do some wikifu and figure out the rest for yourself.

Edit: QD, nice ride. Lovin' it. Hope to get a chance to see it a bit more up-close when you get her done.

Off the top of my head I think the mirrors go somewhere over the wheel wells.

It's kind of like different trim levels. There was the Civic 1200 and the Civic CVCC. The 1200 came in in 1973 and went on til 1979. The CVCC engine (which is a 1500 engine) popped in in 1975 and went until 1979, although the CVCC design was used in all model Civics up until around 1988. But the actual badging of the car as a CVCC ended in 1979. Back in the 70s, it was kind of like the difference in a DX or EX, ya know. The CVCC model had more options in the car, like an AM/FM radio whereas the 1200 had only an AM radio. I have a CVCC and Baby J has a 1200. Later, QD.

Where did you get the fender mounted mirrors from? The SA-22C (first gen Rx-7 JDM mirrors cost a fortune and the FB door mirrors don't mount right on the FB fender)

^^ Yeah, I drew a frame of a man running on each fan blade. That is him running at idle

i've got a customer that has a 78 accor and one that has a 81 civ ( accord is bone stock but the civ has a 1800, lowered ). they are both getting hard to find parts for but there is a honda warehouse in calif. and another one that bought most of the obsolete parts from honda in calif.
if you want to ask any questions i've worked on these old cars since '84 and am pretty knowledgeable about them.

The CVCC was also a little bigger. Larger engine bay, longer hood/fenders/doors, and a little longer wheel base. Not much difference in weight between the two though.

The fender mirrors are placed on top of the fender above the center of the arch.

Looking good, can't wait to see it with some new paint.

Personally, I'd have to do something with the side marker lights (name?) while body work is being done. On the datsun roadsters, the '70 model has similar rectangular marker lights and I can't stand them. Although, they look more in place on these cars, since they also have rectangular headlights.

Thank you. I am gathering interior pieces as I go. I am ordering the entire carpeting for the floor at the end of the month and looking for an upholstery shop now for my seats. And yes, it will be factory blue.

Thanks. But I can't do anything with the side marker lights and it remain stock. Only thing not stock will be the ride height and I will have my satellite unit put in to run for my audio. Later, QD.

Understandable and it will(is) still be an awesome car regardless.

Thanks again. Lol @ gas mileage. I fill it up about every 8 days. At $3.85/gal, it takes about $24 to fill from empty. Later, QD.
