A valve job can be restorative or for performance reasons. How old is the head you have? If the head isn't that old, you probably don't need to have the seats re-cut with a 3 angle job unless you're also replacing guides. The only other reason would be to get a 5 angle job paired up with a port job to improve performance.

Valve jobs have nothing to do with oil control, they affect sealing of the valve and they help to direct air coming through the port, most important at low lift.

I personally went with IPS cams after spending enough to buy two or three sets rebuilding my motor after repeated timing chain tensioner failures with skunk2's cams. With IPS I have power and reliablity. They cost money, but I gladly spent the money because no one else can match them right now for power & reliability. To be fair, it's not just skunk2 cams that cause tensioner issues. Skunk2, Brian Crower, Buddy Club, Toda, pretty much all but select few k-series cam brands have a high probability of causing tensioner issues.
