blower vs turbo. i build turbo kits , and ive had them all. turbo supercharger, nitrious and all motor.. and its also about how much your going to drive it and everything else. yes a blower is easy to install makes great power and sounds cool.. but most blower have alot of problems producing lot of intake heat.. your typical weiand 142,177 'little huffer blowers', make lots of power and is VERY streetable. but than can go past 8psi. belt slipping, and intake tempertures of 280*granted you still can make alot of power at 6 psi with the right setup. i have a buddy who went 9s in a 4200 pound chevelle with this blower at only 6psi, with a little ol 383 stroker. 9.40 @130
turbo is easy to drive on the street once its dialed in good. good on gas because its not alwasy in boost like blower, were you still can cruise and not be sucking down your gas, but when the time comes you can nail it and let the fun begin. and when the turbo spools the bullshit ends.lol
pro charger very good power adder, good for daily driving but also youll spend a are and a leg to get one. and still have alittle belt slipping problems but very good on the street and strip.
when it comes down to it. its all about what you want how much your going to drive it on the street, and how much you got to spend.. yes you can get you a nice weiand 177 blower for like 1700. and still fit under the hood. and have the cool whinning sound. a turbo is all in quility. you can peice one together and buy cheap turbos and make you a budget build but its a 50/50 chance. unless you have money to spend on your turbo.
pro charger your going to spend around 2500- and up. me go turbo or weiand blower but thats just my 2 cents...happy hunting.
