I thought this would be a fun little thread. Vacuum leaks, dying fuel pumps, it'd be interesting to see what IA members have had to overcome while still needing to actually DRIVE the car (probably to the auto parts store to fix it).

Right now for me, it's that I just rebuilt my carburetor to fix a fuel leak, and managed to break a very important idle mixture screw that meters the air-to-fuel ration from idle to about 3k RPM. I have one for each carb barrel which feed each rotor in the engine. So now, the screw that's broken cannot meter fuel to one of the rotors, and my engine idles off of one rotor. So in order to go from a stop light at any sort of hill at all, I have to rev it to like 4k and slip the clutch. It's like having NO torque, it's quite messed up haha. I've also had to drive down the street without an oil cap when I discovered I had lost it during an oil change.Anyone else ever had any messed up temporary problems like this?
