Highway runs, if that's what you live for...then yes it will effect the outcome..but then you have to look at the reliability side of a vehicle and the stress it puts on the car with that much power.

Cone Dodging is acceptable when you change the name to Time Attack and make it all scary and aggressive sounding

I autocross, and dont have a problem going to the mountains or a track event, I do anything I can on track, track time ftw. Mountains are fun and all, but nothing beats real wheel to wheel racing, or even track days.

I dont think autocrossers are shitty drivers either..

tis a bit offtopic, but one of the guys from turbobricks managed to get his car on getaway in stockholm. Built 2.3l SOHC turbo making 500+ hp. Runs the 1/4 mile on regular street tires in the low 11s. Very quick car.

I still want to do the DOHC turbo, but I hear its a bit tough getting that head beneath the bonnet of the 122. OH well, a man can dream right?

Pretty sure that wasn't built for $10k Any good examples of P1800's like that?

I assume you've seen the orange Opel Manta Hilmersson racing built? It's supercharged and turbo'd...Volvo B230. http://www.hilmersson-racing.com/start.asp?show=j

It just depends on the car. If it already had alot of power but not so high on the looks i would throw it towards show and vise versa w/ the show and no power.

    is that even possible...?

yes but it would be a ridiculous amount of work and labor alone would exceed $10,000 if you didn't do it all yourself. I'd get a stolen recovery NSX before thinking about attempting that...

mercedes C-class kompressor. 94 or 95 C230 Compressor. Yank the turbo, custom manifold, big turbo, nice bottom end parts and some decent suspension mods. Would be a nice sleeper, totally comfortable and totally fun.
