Default With $10k what would you build?

You name it: body, engine, suspension, wheels, etc. -- older or newer anything goes... what would you buy/build for a play car?

If i was gonna build an FC the engine alone would be at least $7,000 -- oh wait, that leaves $3k left over...that should be enough to buy like 6 bodies, haha

im not a big ford fan, but the best bang for the buck would be a fox body with a built engine. you can get a body for around $2500, and have the rest to spend on engine/tranny/suspension.

If I had $10k to spend on any car I would get 97+ prelude (I saw one with 140k miles and no engine/tranny for $3200 on ebay a few weeks ago) and buy a F22C ($4000 on ebay), S2000 rear end, and do a RWD conversion on a prelude.

yes but it would be a ridiculous amount of work and labor alone would exceed $10,000 if you didn't do it all yourself. I'd get a stolen recovery NSX before thinking about attempting that...

Hmm... I would probably get a Mk3 Jetta with a VR6 with these mods:
    -Techtonics short shift linkage
-Techtonics Cat-Back exhaust w/ borla muffler
    -Supercharger of some sort
    -Patec Holeshot Coilovers
    -Euro bumpers
-Euro VR6 lip, OEM side skirts
    -Decent stereo setup
    -Polished intake manifold
    -decent header of some sort
    -Paint it white

Or a Honda of some sort.
