    im not a big ford fan, but the best bang for the buck would be a fox body with a built engine. you can get a body for around $2500, and have the rest to spend on engine/tranny/suspension.

    If I had $10k to spend on any car I would get 97+ prelude (I saw one with 140k miles and no engine/tranny for $3200 on ebay a few weeks ago) and buy a F22C ($4000 on ebay), S2000 rear end, and do a RWD conversion on a prelude.

    yes but it would be a ridiculous amount of work and labor alone would exceed $10,000 if you didn't do it all yourself. I'd get a stolen recovery NSX before thinking about attempting that...
