Only slicks I had access too and they were way too big. I dropped them down to 5psi and basically it would dead hook and bog. I should have aired them up to like 20psi to get them to spin but I didn't have time. Spoolin even ran my car that day too and we all know he can drive, and he ran same times as me.
I was launching at 8500
Lol
Anyways 13.4 at commerce with a 2.x 60ft and 103 trap speed.... That's just completely opposite of countless cars I've seen run there. There HAS to be something missing

That's fast, but trap speed seems low but with 1.8 60 I can see that. Especially with the car weight.
Must have been really good tires. I tried everything from 2000-8000 rpms and it did not matter I couldn't cut anything faster than a 2.2 that night.
I think the fastest chunky got was a 2.1 and the import xpert cars barely got 2.0

thats 2 witnesses so far, and there is plenty more, ask david ( EL cangri ) he was there that night and saw the pass, and he knew my motor was bone stock. if u dont believe it i really could care less, i sir have nothing to prove to u.
but dont forget u sayed if i run a 13.6 on street tires u will pay me $100, when i finish putting in my motor i will let u know.

Since we're talking shit about track times... I think it is hilarious how people tried to say that when Luis owned the hatch before me that it wasn't very fast. When I bought it from him, I did nothing but bolt on some slicks. Then went to commerce and ran a 12.3 @ 111 on the very first pass.
The thing is the car has been nearly that fast all along. Just a few tweaks here and there. From day 1 (november '06) I bet it would have done a 12.5 or 12.6 on slicks.
^^^^
Considering it ran a 12.3 with slicks I wonder what it ran without slicks. My itr Crx was not that much slower. But I don't have the tq or gearing Luis did.
Effiliated I said "with a bone stock motor"
If you ran it congrats, but again, something doesn't sound ride come on you can't be that fucking dense. To say "you can't drive" when I ran the EXACT SAME 1/4 you did is funny. The only difference is somehow you got .8 faster. I don't take 2 seconds to shift. I'm not a track driver but I'm also not that bad lol
Anyone wanna throw in their .02 I'm at a loss.
Darkstar SDR doesn't count. Any track outside commerce is automatically .2-.5 faster

I'm not saying you aren't capable, or it didn't happen, or your car wasn't capable etc.
I'm saying you had a good night. The night I was at commerce you would NOT have run that fast. Ivans h2b ran a low 13 on drag radials but it was at silver dollar . Every other track seems to favor NA hondas more than commerce.
I can name 20 people who had cars weight power same as us an none ran that fast on street tires.

do u know what ur 1/8th of a mile was? i and i was just talking shit about u not knowing how to drive. idk if u can or not. but back to the fact that there is witnesses u cant really argue with that period. i have no reason to lie, the people that know me know that i dnt BS when it comes to racing. and if i find the time slip when i go back home i will be glad to post it up.

Back in the day i had a 97 civic ex coupe with a stock gsr swap. I/H/E and it weighed 2525 and it dynoed 148whp and the best I ever did was a 15.1 on street tires and that was at silver dollar. the best i did at commerce was a 15.7 on my very first time on the track
No need man I believe you. No reason to lie like to said. Trust me I'm not bragging when I say I ran 14s either lol
Sounds like it was a fast car at the track, thats why I hated going to the track. It was so frustrating and disappointing lol

What's not respectable is the fact it prob cost you $4000 to do a gsr swap just to run 15s lol Ahhhhhh the old days things were so much simpler
But yeah my first Crx made 188whp with a built gsr and it won a lot street racing but I think the best it ever made a track pass was 14.4. But I track it with 14in del sol wheels. It trapped 104 lol
I really do hate the track. And I always said it was a very humbling place for street racers to go. I alway have respect for guys who run good times cause I never could

Honestly slicks dont always get you half a second in the quarter. Ten years ago i ran 13.5 with street tires and 13.5 with slicks . Either way the same time. With street tires i had to role off the line . With slicks i launched real hard .The difference is in oreder to hook the slicks i had to let enough air out to kill my trap with a stock h22 plus stock h22 gearing .Sure my 60 foots were higher but i lost 4mph trap in the quarter. I ran 13.5 with slicks with th f20b stock in a stock si hatch back heavy as fuck. Everybody has always hated on h22s since the old days when in reality the have always been the best bang for the buck. I either out run or it was tit for tat with my friends turbo gsr and turbo b16 with my bone stock h22 . They are a beast and with the h2b kit they are capable of 12.9 stock. So a 13.5 on street tires is very beleiveable with dropping half a second with slicks.
On the other hand dont act like it was that easy and you could go to every track and run them times because you know your wrong . You had problems getting the same times with slicks . It all takes practice and ive seen some cars that hook well not benifit one bit from slicks because they arnt making enough power to need them . On the other hand you take me were i had the car set up pretty good running decent times and change one thing and cant get the 22s to hook .
Mike is right the track is a whole different cup of tea then the street . I have preached this to gregg alos. Dont think because you beat somebody that your car will runa number at the track if you have never been. Its no that easy lol.
Thats one thing i liked about our car. if we decided to street race the car had great gearing for that and as long as we run 22 inch slicks we could put down decent times at the track . When you let 22-9 inch slicks down to 7-8 pounds of air at the track and launch at 6,000 rpms and cant get traction you have a well built h22 lol simple as that . I wish we could run a 11 second pass before the new car but no need in changing the whole set up now when we have another car. Also the only tires i have hooked enough to break axles is a set of 23inch drag radials lol who would of thought.
