darkstar- why do you waste your time trying to set up a fair run with houston you kno he will only run if its in his advantage, and it is really funny that he will do a roll race vs a turbo v8 but not a turbo 4 cylinder lol i mean my car is slow and all on the highway pulls but still

and now to general talk houston, i have driven a cammed pi 2v, ported heads etc...it wasnt impressive to me at all, i enjoyed my nearly stock 5.0 more, my buddy whos cammed, intake, exhaust, and bored 4.6 dohc we just built is not that impressive, before you go snapping off at the mouth to people whos cars run deep 11's (darkstar) or even deep 12s (h22) you need to get yours setup and go to the track and actually see what it does, if you are talkin roll races, which is all you would do in the rsx, run some real cars...as for me i run local cars around my area and rule the parking lot full of 15 sec stock cars too![]()

I get to be first wow that means alot to me . The famous chouston picked me lol. Come on man do some research before you buy another car . Find something that will be dependable and you can run fast times at the track. If you realy like v8s why didnt you buy a gto ? That is a great power plant to start with and run good times at the track. As much as you like to race and talk shit make something fast thats all im saying. I put a stock f20b swap in th hatch and run 13.5 all day long bone stock . nothing you have built or bought has come any were close to that see my point . If you realy like your car dd it and buy you something to make fast instead of dumping a tone of money in it then realizing its still slow and trading it in on something slower lol. I tell you what ill do if you realy want to make that mustange fast and do it on a budget ill give you guys number thats a real good friend of mine. He will tell you exactly what to do can even do it for you and tell you about what it will run at the track . If your not planning on going into the motor as in doing the heads adding a cam then no need to make me first on your list you will blow that thing up trying to spray enough on that stock motor to out run me but good luck shit talking .

lol, they're not expensive...hell some of the SS Camaro's i've recently looked at were more than the GTO's
i like the 5.0 too, it's what my brother has in his 89 GT. also on the subject, my maybe low 14 second Si vs a hardtop GT from a dig always has the same results depending on the driver of the stang, they pull maybe 2 cars at best and stay there up to 100mph but these guys don't have heavy mods on them either but 1st gear is a beast compared to a honda. now from a roll getting onto 85 up here i have been suprised at some GT's, or the lack of a good driver esp since i can cause one to hit the rev limiter a few times since my hood was at the guys window and he couldn't hear his own car. i don't think half of the mustang drivers know how to drive, just look on youtube and see for yourself.
There have been a few mustangs i have been scared to ride in, example would be a friend of mine used to have a GT with a supercharger with 600+ HP, the car scared him into selling it. I still prefer a road course over a 1/4 mile anyways so i'll take an AWD or a FWD anyday for that.

Also you have high standards for all motor v8s, My buddies cobra at 540 scares the shit out of me, 300+ is cool with me in a 2Valve.

Basically your taking the cheap way out. Anybody can buy a 2 grand shell and put a 200+ hp motor in and it hits 12s easy. Its not the power getting you down the track its the less weight you got to travel with, now take a 3200+lbs and hit low 12s(NO YOU KNOW YOUR DOING SOMETHING!)

houston i dont have high expectations, if i did i would compare all v8s to my dads high 8 sec malibu wagon lolyou wanna talk about beast mode...but a 300 whp all motor 2v will take some work, you will need intake cams and possibly some head work, im more of a pushrod ford guy over the mods i think the mods cost to much to modify and get good low end torque out of
darkstar- he does kinda have a point...it really isnt the 200 hp that creates the 12 sec pass its the lack of weight, but i wouldnt go as far as sayin its the cheap way out, h22 puts some work in his motors and pride in his builds and the cars run strong...if you wanna call it the cheap way you soulda not bought a 3600 lb tank lol

what it means by the cheap way, is the easy way, not as much work etc, not necessarily money wise, but i knew what you meant
and josh if ls' werent so damn expensive to mod i would get one, my dads got an ls1 vette and i want it so bad, its so smooth and has clean power, my mustang compares in no way except speed lol

but til you show someone what your car can do at the track no one will believe you...i kno people who can stomp out cars that run mid 12s on the highway then go to a track and run 13.6, its all a matter of setup and judging by the sig pic you had its stop suspension, which means incorrect weight transfer, and bein a convertible if you dont have sub frame connectors you cant launch hard without frame twist, if you have enough torque, and the notorious body roll that all convert owners love...im not sayin your car cant ever run a 12 but with general bolt ons with a 100 shot, on stock suspension and bald radials a mid to low 12 isnt happeining
