    Default Callout: Stock C6 Z06's

Ever since I got my engine rebuilt (over a year ago) - I've been thinking I was a bit down on power - but it seems to have gotten stronger over time and seems to do well against most H/C C5 Z's but I'm itching to run a stock C6 Z to see how it goes.

Anyone know of any that'd be willing to run?

if you are only putting down 516rwhp, a heads/cam vette should rape you, much less a C6 Z06... hell, a cam only Z06 should beat you.

that is of course only going off what your sig says.

I seem to be even. Stol3n and I ran quite a few times on different occasions and he dyno'd 451 RWHP and we were door to door - however, not sure if 451 RWHP is possible with a cam only, full exhaust, etc. The cam IS big though, a G5X4.

ZOSick and I seem to be about the same, when he's off spray of course.

Daniel (iloveboost) and I were also dead even when we ran quite some time ago, before his cutouts and before I added my 4lb lower pulley (+~2 PSI boost).

Not really - on my hurt engine (#7 burning oil with a pinched ring) I ran Lankhoss quite a few times when he was stock and he'd get me by ~1.5 cars consistently from 50-150 and 60-160. I may had been down on power though, that's why I want a re-match.

stock hes about 450rwhp give or take, so a good cam/fast 90/90 car should beat you... unless you have weight reduction.

Lank (when he was stock) ran a heads/cam C5 Z repeatedly that was making 455 RWHP and it was dead even every time.

So I would think a strong heads/cam car would be faster than a stock C6 Z06.

As I stated on SVTperf, it would give you a good idea of what kind of mph you could lay down. I figure your probably around the 125+mph mark.

C5 Z06's were a tad lighter, and also had slightly shorter 1 - 3 gears. Not to mention, once you do major mods on a car.....they all react differently. Completely stock cars are going to be far more consistant than heavily modded cars that are all making similar horsepower.

It seems like Rick is making more power than he used to, and recently dyno'd with slightly higher horsepower, and substantially higher torque. Of course, dyno numbers don't really mean much since they are all different....but I'm willing to bet he's making 5 - 10 more rwhp, and 15+ more rwtq.

Change your SN to Mr. Rev Limiter

Based on the roll vidz I would guess you will be dead even with a 100% non-tuned C6Z Rick.

Damn that was probably the problem along with reverse lights coming on on that 3rd gear shift
But I guess I could change my signature to Mr. no Rev Limiter

A KB Cobra has no problem putting several cars on a stock C6 Z06. I know, because I've seen it. And Lankhoss' C6 Z06 with 501+ RWHP seems to be basically even with 580-600 RWHP KB Cobra's.

A true 650 RWHP KB Cobra would pull very hard on a stock C6 Z.

We'll see - but I'm betting it will be very close between me and a stock one.

I think I had a passenger (Jeff) and was still pulling slightly on my heads/cam setup.

It's in that one video on the way down to SDR. First race wasn't accurate, but I think the second match up was a good one.

Yeah the run down to SDR surprised me - because I remember being even with / slightly pulling you in 4th when we raced in the winter, before your cutouts - you may had been having clutch problems then though, I remember you saying something about that.

I'd like to see a dyno of cutouts open vs. closed - I've heard they can make a ~20 RWHP difference.
