The crate may be too big (for now). Sometimes if the pups have too much room they will still potty in their crates. Is there a way to rig the crate so he only has enough room for him? I would only let him have water at certain times. Like if you go to bed at 10pm, take away the water at 8pm. Also, run the crap out of him before work & maybe he will take a long nap in the morning. Then run him at lunch, so he will nap in the afternoon. Pups usually pee after naps & playtimes
