you should get him on a schedule, 2 times a day, when he starts getting bigger get him eating 3 times a day.

that's what i thought.. but about how many ounces. like i said i've got to keep him lean cause he's gonna be an inside dog, and until he get's a lil bigger i can't run him so.
just get a bowl and put some food in it, not too much though, hes little so dont over feed him

i will be when he get's just a bit older.. he's not quite a runner yet... he's only about 5lbs ish... so he doesn't want to do much but sleep and eat.. and plays a little bit. i've only had him since yesterday so.

full blooded red nose.... he's a beige/buckskin brendle... i'll get a couple up in a minute. he's got beautiful markings and gorgeous green eyes
i'm trying to come up with a good name for him still.

his mother was nice and thick, not too tone from being an inside dog, and a women owned her... i saw pics of the dad and it had a nice blocky head and was pretty muscular. looked sorta tall, but they were pics so i didn't have anything to compare it too. but both dogs were beautiful. all the pups were gorgeous as well. there was one other male that looked to have a blockier head, but the colors on mine are rare and i love them.
what did you pay for him/her?

150 with up to date shots, and being wormed... i will have to continue to get the shots and more worming medicine, but it was a good deal to me.. no papers though.

true.. i don't think he's gonna be massive, i could be wrong, but still.
hes 7 weeks now and weighs 5 lbs right ??
ill take a guess but hell be about 55 lbs max i could be wrong ..
my blue boy was 10 lbs when he was 8 weeks ..
his older brother was 15 lbs when he was 8 weeks ..
there both 7 months and my dog weighs 70 lbs and his brother weighs 90 lbs ..

roughly 5 pounds... not for sure that's a guestimate... but yeah i'd say 50-60... considering he'll be an inside dog and wont' get much excercise til later in the day...
any suggestions on how to get them adequate excersice during the day.. he comes to work with me, but i sit at a desk, so he's been sitting with me. yesterday he did great, but today he wants to run everywhere... so i need a way to burn some energy of his... he's not quite leash trained.. follows me fine without one, but when i put a leash on him he stops dead in his tracks.
do you have toys for him to play with ??
after all he is a puppy so some toys should be the excersize he gets for now ..

Sit at your desk & throw toys, encourage him to bring them back & throw them again. He's a baby, so I bet he will get worn out fast.
When you have him on leash, have treats & use them to encourage him to walk. (he gets treats when you walk not when he is stopped) Try not to have tension, that's prob why he freezes.
yeah.. he seems to walk more when i let go of the leash.. i've come to the conclusion that he hates wet grass too! lol... he'll do everything he can to touch some concrete late at night instead of the grass... and yeah i've got toys like tug toys.. and such...
but i can't throw them.. i'm in a cubicle, and i'm on the phone all the time. and it's my boss's house so i can't just let him run, he'll piss on everything.... lol
which reminds me... how much water should he drink a day, he pisses all day long so i know if i give him more water he'll piss even more so.. he gets some water in the morning, at luch and at dinner.. that's normally about it.. when he get's older and potty trained i'll let him drink all day long, but i'm afraid to now... and i take him out side close to every hour if not more...

yeah man i hear ya! i'm definetly gonna make sure he's a good dog.. i don't want an aggressive dog that doesn't behave... at the same time, i don't want to too strict in fear of him being scared of me...
yea pitbulls are like kids they try to get what they want ..

that's unreal... ... i can't wait for him to get past the whiney stage... man they really are just like babies.. i've just about got him to quit whining when i go to bed and he's in his cage... i put his cage next to my bed and took the top off so i can pet him... he whines less each night... lol the pissed my bed the first night so i right away said no more of that!!!! and he doesn't beg to be in my lap so much at work either!
yea joy thinks my bed is hers when i lay down she trys to squeeze in and i just push her off ..
she peed on my bed when she was a puppy also she got a beating for that ..
put some toys and a blanket in the cage for him so he doesnt whine ..
joy used to jump on my lap and still does she things shes still a puppy ..

back on track..
he's still peeing in his bed is the bad thing, so i have to wake up early and give him a bath... i walk him plenty of times before we go to bed. and he pee's everytime and is not allowed water past 8.. i didn't go to bed til 11:30.. and he was walked at least 3 times.. if not more...(3 times between 8-11)

do you have him in a big cage or a little cage ??
cause i have a big cage for my Joy when i first got her ..
i also had the same issue she would shit and pee in her cage ..
i would have to wake up at like 7 in the morning ..
give her a bath and clean the cage so it doesnt stink my apt ..
then she stopped doing it and waited till i woke up to walk her outside ..

yeah, it's a big cage for like a 50-60 lbs dog. and he waits til like 3-4 or 5 to pee... it's dumb cause i'm dead asleep then.
the good side to all of this is, i'm wakin up in plenty of time to make it to work on time! lol.
this is what i did when my dog was a puppy ..
walk her when i wake up ..
when i get home i walk her again ..
walk her before i head to bed ..
then she got the idea that she has to go outside not inside ..
and when she does her business i tell her shes a good girl ..
