Same exact thing here. Anytime someone resorts to violence to solve a dispute, that person goes to jail. It doesn't matter what started it. A slanderous name, a noose in a tree or any verbal name calling.

6 against 1 is attempted murder. It's not a fight. 1 vs 1 is a fight. Not 6 vs 1. So they got charged, then it got reduced out of pressure. They are getting Battery now, what else would you like to happen?
