The point is: in all honesty, I feel both parties are at fault. The white kids for being racist morons, and the black kids, even though the punishment didn't fit the crime, they could have gone about it the proper way and avoided the situation altogether.

It all boils down to laws. If they did go through the proper channels, I bet terroristic threats could have been brought against them. But instead, the black kids went vigilante and took the law into their own hands. 6 people on one IS attempted murder. I'm sorry to tell anyone here. That's not a fight at that point, it's a massacre.
