I dunno I think I agree with u...IMO, then again my view on relationships is a lil'....I think if the guy had a bad relationship in the past and bought a ring that was supposed to symbolize his love for a significant other but it didnt work out and he kept the ring then the symbology of the ring isnt b/w him and the ex its b/w him and the ring, that is a sign of his affection for a particular person...Especially if he keeps it...If he finds someone else that is "worthy" of this ring (not the rings history) then why not re-gift. Fuck it!
I can understand the girls getting upset b/c we (as females)*generalization* have a tendancy to compare ourselves to the ex's and this being the case see it as "I am not good enough to get a better ring than the one he gave "that bitch," so he doesnt love me, he is cheap,
