I just see it like this: You shouldn't feel like the only way of showing your love is through material objects. I am not the type of person that cares about material things. By you showing me you love me physically and emotionally is enough for me. If you don't have money that is ok because I didn't get with you for your money or because of what you can buy me. I would rather you not get me anything at all if you can get me something of my own
