That right there is lying! I mean you may not be down right lying but you aren't telling the truth either. She may be thinking my man loves me enough to get me a ring not knowing her man just gave her a ring belonged to his ex
if the man bought the ring, its his....he gets to decide who wears the RING he BOUGHT

did he offer it to you? no so who cares.
exactly.. we can say all we want.. but it's a ring for her and it's their relationship. And if she is fine with it, then that's all that mattersOriginally Posted by admin

I would assume its an engagement ring being its on the ring finger.Originally Posted by admin

These are just my opinions and how I feel about the situation. Not saying this is how everyone should be, I just wouldn't go for it
well i would say more then likely if he was to do the whole situation over you probably would of gotten that ring anyway if HE truely picked it out. the ring is nothing more then a symbol of feelings. women like to make this out to be a big deal but guess what barbie w/ divorce rates over 50% you should be glad a man wants to even try to settle down.Originally Posted by XterraChic

I am starting to see that maybe this is just a girl against guy thing. Seems the girls agree that recycling is just wrong and the guys are being asses and saying we are to high maintenance for wanting something of our own.Originally Posted by babygurl

if its not an engagment ring then there isn't anything to question about.Originally Posted by BluesClues
if it is... i personally wouldn't do it but then again i won't remarry anyway, most women are too fucked up. but i do find it funny the material aspect of it is more important then the meaning of it![]()

I myself dont have to have the finest things in life to make me happy...I would be happy if Win one morning woke me up and said he stayed up all night drawing on a piece of cardboard "I love you will you marry me" or something like that I would just melt...yes it is the thought that counts, but collins should have better taste then that...any man for that matter....

chicks are dumb, i'm very happily married. i've done the whole sha-bang already; and if your too busy being wrapped up on where the RING came from, size of stone(s), then you are putting the material aspect in front of the feelings/actions of your loved one. it was never intended to be given 2x and why would he have to spend 2x b/c he gave it to the wrong girl the first time?Originally Posted by BluesClues
thats just dumb. i bet you girls would be pissed if the stones were fake as well?

Fuck it!
I can understand the girls getting upset b/c we (as females)*generalization* have a tendancy to compare ourselves to the ex's and this being the case see it as "I am not good enough to get a better ring than the one he gave "that bitch," so he doesnt love me, he is cheap,![]()

+25 thank you. women should be happy there is someone that wants to spend his every waking moment w/ you.... i would love to know the % of people in this topic who are or have been married? getting to that step is larger then any fucking ring or symbol of affection. its the words behind the action that the girl will remember forever...Originally Posted by SLOWLYbtngU
example: you ask my wife about her engagement... the RING will be the last thing she will tell you about. i bought her a build a bear wearing a wedding dress and when you squeeze it says "will you marry me (in my voice)" i did that so for the rest of her life she would know my feelings for her. the ring was nothing more then a symbol of our affection and a material effect for others to know she is spoken for. but every time she is asked "how did he propose..." she just lights up and tells the story.see thats what makes memories not a piece of over priced rock/metal

I def see ur point, I was just stating my opinion, b/c I do not know the people in question, but I do know a very good friend of mine that bought a ring for his ex assuming she was the one for him. It was a promise, ring no big deal, but his girl cheated on him...After that he was so heart broken he kept the ring and decided that he was going to give it to the female that won his heart over....It wasn't about where the ring was, but where it ended that mattered...Once again, I do not know the full story of anybody on IA...I can only spk about my opinion...Thank you btw!Originally Posted by DJ XtRaK©

It is not an engagement ring.. From what I understand it was jsut a ring given to her... nothing behind it... I know I would personally not want to have a ring that was intended for someone else.. Esp if it was an engagement ring... but this one is not, and never was from what i understand...
There are two diff debates going on in here I think.. One is ENGAGEMENT rings.. and the other is whatever else as long as it belonged to someone else at one point, lol... Engagement rings shouldnt be regifted at all.... At least I dont think so..
But something like that ring, (Which prob wasnt even $100 so there is no way to pawn it prob wont get shit for it) or other stupid gifts that you jsut cant throw away is the same as an idea that you had and doing it again with a new person.. regifting something stupid with not that much sentimental or dollar value is like taking someone to a restaurant that you took your ex to cuase you know its good cause you have been there before.
Personally I have stuff that I have done for my past relationships that are things no one has ever thought of, and I could very well do it in my current relationship to impress him that I am creative and care for him.. But i dont and I wont, cuase this is a new life with this person and I dont want it to be in any way similar to my past ones. So everything that I give now, Every Idea I come up with, is going to be a new inspiration and something I have never done or given to with another man other than the one I am with...
But what people do in their own relationships, I agree if it works for them and both people invloved are ok with it then thats really their business, lol
~In life it's most important to find a world that belongs to us. Life is meaningful only when we can find this world.~
Well, I do know them. But I am in no way trying to talk down about them. I'm stating my opinion as well. Its just how I see it, and how I yself have lived it. I held on to the past through materialistic items, not anymore. Its pointless. Now granted they were small things, this ring is something HUGE, sooooooo....I dunnno.Originally Posted by SLOWLYbtngU
