I found the thread:

and I think it is funnier that not only does the guy not get it, but the first reply is to take it to a shop. This is why people who TUNE brand new cars, especially expensive ones, are usually stupid. They have the money to have other people do the work, and because of it they are hard to respect/ You have an 800whp EVO? well that's cool, did you build it, or drop it off at a shop and give them a big check and tell them to "make it fast"?
Not saying you are stupid OP, you know what you're doing, but the more expensive a modded car is, the less likely I can respect the owner. If you do the work yourself, or at least pick out the stuff to go on it then cool. But paying people to make something UNIQUE to call your own, I'm sorry but that's your job as the owner.

I thought Cougar guys were bad lol
To be a total douche to my own kind, I see shit like this a lot with Rx-8 owners. they go in and see a pretty car that the spokesman talks them into buying. Then they decide they want tobe ENTHUSIASTS afterwards, and with the knowledge base of someone who has never been into cars but decides they want the lifestyle overnight, they do stupid ass shit to it. Like start it up to redline it at meets on a cold engine as they are leaving. Whereas older sports cars, the owner probably hunted it down, searching for that specific car, knows a lot about them, is an enthusiast, and has been for a while, and doesn't have enough money for the new car so they will learn how the shit works by doing as much work themselves as possible.
If the TSX guys are generally different then I am thankful that not all is lost with new car tuning people.

Understand what your saying. I'll be the 1st to say I'm not going to pull my engine and build it. I'll take it to someone that knows what the fuck they are doing.
Every now and then you'll get the 16 year old kid that comes in and does something stupid like this. Kids parents buy him a car. He doesn't give two shits about it.

imo it's not always about that...
1) it's harder working on many expensive cars (ex. 911's) than cheap ones that are usually 4 cylinder (ex. integra) which make tasks like building an engine seem extremely difficult
2) if you just paid 50k or 100k for a car you might not want to risk messing something up in your motor during a build attempting it yourself....but if you mess up a b18 you're only out a few hundred bucks...big difference there in price
3) If you have the money, why not pay someone else to do it? I understand you learn a lot from working on your car, but honestly sometimes working on cars is just a pain in the ass...there have been many times I wish I had $$$$$$$ so I could just drop the car off and let someone else figure out what's wrong and fix it.
With all that said you're statement is probably generally true, I'm just pointing out other factors which could be incentive to let a shop du werk.
Maybe he should vaccum and then the clamp will magically release the sensor!![]()

I actually had to reply to that kids video. I can't stand spoiled brats such as himself.
So I was telling my wife about this and showed her the picture. She doesn't give two shits about cars nor does she know anything about it but I asked her what she would do. She said squeeze the metal clamps.
Wow just wow.
He has to be trolling. Nobody can be that stupid.![]()

Agreed, it's worth it not to bust my knuckles and lay on the ground and all of that crap. Even when my dad had his own stereo shop and it would have been really easy, I would still pay to have someone else do it, but I think I'd change my own oil if I had a nicer car though.
