    Unhappy Bad news

    I got a text tonight saying a good friend of mine commited suicide today. I know it's not the most respectable way to go out, but it just sucks to know he kept saying things were good and here he was thinking about ending his life. Just makes me (and I'm sure everyone close to him) feel they weren't trying enough. I'm trying to stay level headed about this but at the same time I can't stop thinking of good memeories and thinking I won't ever see him again. Not really looking for pity, but it's 2am and nobody else is awake to talk to.

    ****ty...if car wrecks and old age dont get em suicide does. i had a ex girlfreind commit suicide, and have had numerous ppl die in car wrecks...over-all ****ty but you will get over it. i cant imagine what someone is going through that is bad enough that you wanna kill yourself but it cant be changed now. and if there were no signs then you have to accept that there was nothing you could do anyways. i know what you are going through.

    He moved back home from Colorado and his parents threw him on some medicine and it really made him weird but he always just said it was the meds, I really think that could have been a key factor in all of this.

    I hear you bro. I had my step father do the same thing. I know what it's like man, and it's very difficult. I'm still mad at him for it but you have to accept it. I wish I could say more.

    Not that it changes anything, but on your statement of the meds being the cause that is quite likely. Alot of anti-depresssant medications are known for causing suicidal thoughts and tendancies.

    I'm sorry for your loss. I had a friend that hung himself just a few weeks ago. He got in a wreck a while back and had some pretty serious head trauma. The DR. said that a lot of people with head trauma can develop pretty bad depression and it is usually worse in the winter time because of the cold dreary(sp) weather and getting darker sooner. Well, he had gotten over it mostly, but I guess with it being winter time and him being home alone, it got the best of him. It is def. a sin to commit suicide, but I will never know what he was going through and how he felt about it so I can't be all that mad about it. Upset? Confused? Sure. Mad, not so much.

    yeah, and confusion is thrown into the mix.

    Yea, his meds would make him blackout and I just keep telling myself he blacked out with his car on when he came home, it's probably not the truth but it makes it easier. It keeps me from blaming myself for being a bad friend and not seeing him in a few weeks. We had plans for Saturday too because he didn't make it to the concert we were going to about two or three weeks ago. Thanks for all the comments guys, I feel worst for his familiy, mainly his little brother who was really close to him. He would have been 20 in June and his little bro is 16.

    Sorry to hear that man. I went through the same thing in July of last year, it was my best friend. My only advice is remember the good times and don't try and harp on how his life ended, but just the good times yall had.

    I still can't believe it...
    Aaron Brown passed away on the 25th last year... they were good friends too.

    I can't imagine what he was going through.



    We were twins through out middle and highschool.
    I'll never forget the countless hours spent in my basement with the band practices and parties.

    Those were the best moments of my life.

    i have had 3 friends of mine kill themselves in the past 7 year and i have lost a mutal one in a car wreck a few weeks ago she was txting while driving she was a senior

    Damn man, sorry to read about this. When I was 17, my biological dad committed suicide 3 weeks after he met me for the first time, It was really really difficult, and to this day I blame myself. Also, when I was 16, my best friend was murdered by a mutual friend of ours. I was two houses down at my g/f's and heard the gun shot. It's going to be tuff, but you have to be strong, and keep your head up. Surround yourself with the ones who matter most, and keep thinking about all the good memories. Enough with my rambling, i know how you feel, and what everyone close to him is going through......

    Thanks for your words man, I just try to stay occupied so I don't have time to think about it. I've been playing a video game for the first time since I bought it months ago. I rarely even use my 360, but this has given me an excuse so I stay busy. lol

    Revmaynard my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your friend. I feel your pain, i have a close friend who attempted twice (thank god she went to the hospital). I went through hell emotionally trying to deal with her and convince her not to. Every time i hear something like this happens, hurts a little thinking about my close friend also.
    Please if someone is dealing with this, make them get help...

    Nah, some are just different, I've had people pass and not feel terrible about it. I usually feel heartless though lol.
