i totally agree, and I have used all of these methods (except military ID) myself and have been let off with a verbal warning or beat the ticket about 15 or so times. I have only had one ticket stick to my record. I was 19 and I plead no-lo at the probate court desk. It turns out that traffic judges do not have to accept a plea of no-lo. I did not find this out until my next insurance premium was due.
Other than that, 99% of the time if you end up getting the ticket, the judge will drop it to 14 over, which in GA does not go on your record, and you receive no points. You still have to pay a fine (ranging from $125-155 in my experiences).
As for the concealed weapon part, I always hand the officer my concealed weapons license with my drivers license, and I have never been questioned further about it.
All in all, if you're not doing 30 over, and you're not an ******* to the cop and don't argue, chances are you will get let off. (disregard all of these statements if the officer in question is a GSP aka god's special people)
