LOL...he was like o,shit
In no way, shape, or form did he blame Bush for a "natural disaster". He was commenting on the LACK OF FEDERAL ASSISTANCE!!! He blamed Bush for not sending help due to Bush "not caring about black people"! I'm no Kaye advocate but, you didn't have to be a card carrying member of his fan club to hear to what he said.Originally Posted by Killer
...and if N.O. were a "rich WHITE city" I personally feel they would have gotten help sooner. The key word here is RICH!

Back on topic.... George Bush doesn't care about the NFL or dogs.
So, is it the "race card" only if a black person says something negative has happened or is the direct result of a white person's actions? I'm just curious because, that seems to be what's being said here. Had he said "Bush doesn't like poor people" would that have meant he was pulling the "income card"? Bottom line, Kaye said what Kaye felt, just as he always does. Period.Originally Posted by Killer

Worldwide news that everyone forgot about. Nobody will care or remember about this down the road... The media and the government will make some money off of Michael Vick... thats all they care about.
What does society want?? who knows... Everyone wants something different...
Which is exactly why this thread is getting old and boring... Just like the Michael Vick story in general.
i wonder which prison will draft vick...
some of those inmate football teams could use a good QB i'm sure...

I think the main problem is that the race card has been overused. It has been pulled on many issues that really had nothing to do with race. So when something does happen (or doesn't happen) that is quite possiblly racially motivated (like the slow response to Katrina), you have some people who look at it as being a cop-out and then cry that their race is being "picked on." Maybe it's just me, but if a natural disaster were to strike a city like Denver, you can't tell me that the feds would have responded in such a leisurely manner like they did with N.O. But that is just my personal opinion.Originally Posted by Nomad!

Its a case of stupidity, which ALWAYS trumps race!

Sadly that's true. But thanks to Julio and staff we don't have racial slurs every other word like "the old days" two months ago.Originally Posted by shagwAg3n

People - It's an ALLEGATION against Vick - he has not been convicted of anything yet. Funny how I don't see 12 impartial people in this thread - after all of these pages. You are so quick to assume guilt. Doesn't the indictment look a little odd to you? It has a lot of "extra" info in it that has no bearing on the charges against him. It talks of animal cruelty - but he is not charged with that. All of the alleged informants are anonymous - no names given. What is happening is that he is being tried in the media before trial, which is wrong - the indictment should have stayed sealed until trial.
I'm not saying that he is guilty or innocent, and neither should anyone else that doesn't have all of the facts. You shouldn't pass judgement based on just the feds allegations.
i dont think its a race thing i think its gonna be more glamorized cuzz he is from the hip-hop generation and he has braids and he dont care what people thinks about him but he is stupid anyways he dosnt even call his own plays in the game

Since vick is black and he's denying it like any black person would do they want to own him and put him in jail and prosecute him to the full extent of the law.
I have to disagree.Originally Posted by kayfuNk
The main reason why this is getting so much attention is because of the simple fact that his is famous.
Just look at the media's top stories the last few years: Paris Hilton going to jail, Michael Jackson molestation (sp?), Mel Gibson drunk driving, Lindsay Lohan in rehab, Nicole Richie pregnant...etc
Let's face it, all of those stories were about famous people commiting crimes ( not pregnancy though ) that occur everyday in our society. We all know that people drink and drive, people get pregnant, sickos molest children, and people go to jail for violating probation.
Ask yourself this question, how many times you do hear about violent crimes where you live that get national attention recently ?
The only one I can think of is the Kathryn Johnson incident. To me, a change in police policy to prevent this from happening is more important to me because it can directly affect me and not Michael Vick's ALLEGED dog fighting involvement. He was indicted because of SUSPECTED INVOLVEMENT..etc, not because he was black.
To whomever it was that said that, get a life and start accepting responsiblity for you actions, that is what a adult should do.
