People - It's an ALLEGATION against Vick - he has not been convicted of anything yet. Funny how I don't see 12 impartial people in this thread - after all of these pages. You are so quick to assume guilt. Doesn't the indictment look a little odd to you? It has a lot of "extra" info in it that has no bearing on the charges against him. It talks of animal cruelty - but he is not charged with that. All of the alleged informants are anonymous - no names given. What is happening is that he is being tried in the media before trial, which is wrong - the indictment should have stayed sealed until trial.
I'm not saying that he is guilty or innocent, and neither should anyone else that doesn't have all of the facts. You shouldn't pass judgement based on just the feds allegations.

I have to disagree.

The main reason why this is getting so much attention is because of the simple fact that his is famous.

Just look at the media's top stories the last few years: Paris Hilton going to jail, Michael Jackson molestation (sp?), Mel Gibson drunk driving, Lindsay Lohan in rehab, Nicole Richie pregnant...etc

Let's face it, all of those stories were about famous people commiting crimes ( not pregnancy though ) that occur everyday in our society. We all know that people drink and drive, people get pregnant, sickos molest children, and people go to jail for violating probation.

Ask yourself this question, how many times you do hear about violent crimes where you live that get national attention recently ?

The only one I can think of is the Kathryn Johnson incident. To me, a change in police policy to prevent this from happening is more important to me because it can directly affect me and not Michael Vick's ALLEGED dog fighting involvement. He was indicted because of SUSPECTED INVOLVEMENT..etc, not because he was black.

To whomever it was that said that, get a life and start accepting responsiblity for you actions, that is what a adult should do.

Lol. Let me give you a little information. Most white people don't give a fuck what color a criminal is. If they are a criminal, that's all that needs to be said.

As for Black people being the target of race hatred, the most race hatred aimed at blacks is from other blacks! Look at the statistics man. Most crimes commited by blacks are done to other blacks. Most white people don't give a fuck. They don't go out of their way to pin crimes on black people, they just avoid them.

So no, they aren't out to get Michael Vick because he's black. Pull your head out of your ass and sniff the clean air. They are out to get him because he's a fuck up, with alot of money. He's a high profile member of the community, suppoedly a role model to kids everywhere and he fucking ran an ILLEGAL dogfighting kennel that slaughtered dogs. So right there he fucked up by:

1. He betrayed the communities trust.
2. He killed animals (mans best friend, if he had a Chipmunk fighting ring it wouldn't have been so bad)
3. He broke the law.

So no brainiac, the cops didn't just wake up and say "Damm, today would be a good day to bag a negro, lets get Michael Vick"
