I dont quite remember how much boost it actually left with, but it was still pretty damn stout! On a side note, even my 20g didnt hold all its power all the way to redline, so I would never expect anything even remotely close outta the stock SR turbo. It's like when I tune a car with a big 16g, they make pretty much the same power/power curve as what Matt's car is makes/is capable of making, but it doesn't have a chance in hell of holding it all the way across the board. I undestand what you're saying though.

i too own an SR and was running the stock T25, which is why i find it odd to say the least. my car at 14psi on it's best runs would muster ~240whp and had a big falloff after about 5000rpm due to it not being able to keep up with the airflow demands of the motor (that was with the boost holding perfect all the way to the limiter). i really don't see a 60whp deficit being made up with 5-6psi difference on a T25, especially when you're already well outside it's efficiency range and somehow making that power loft and hold. the power of that car sounds way more indicative of something like a BigT28. just seems like that "stock T25" may be stuffed with some goodies he didn't know about?

Hey, if I bought a motor with a t25 with t28 internals I'd be more then happy...

But I doubt that happened. I bought it from a local guy who even said it was a stock avenir t25.

Hmm..I dont know. I'm sure Matt could answer that question better than me. If I recall correctly, it wasnt just throw some boost at it, and fuel tune, there was timing worked in there at some point. It wasn't holding 300whp all the way to redline, that's for sure, but it did infact make 300whp. Im sure we can pull the chart up and look. I'll look at it tomorrow while Im tuning on the dyno. Now you got me curiious! LOL.

anyone saying FUCK when it is not necessary if it was only a joke needs to chill the fuck out. I certainly did not jump you case. I only made a simple statement. A simple smilie or "just playing" would help people know it is a joke. This is the internet. We can't hear your tone of voice. If you need me to break it down anymore...LET ME KNOW

is that better? BTW the only reason why i came back with that reply is because it seemed as if they were being assholes about the whole thing (which they were)

Was I being an asshole? They ARE both assholes (that has nothing to do with me), but I don't know why my name was included in that bunch...because I responded to what you said? I couldn't tell that you were joking. If you were then no harm done, right?

Definitely built KA-T, more bang for your buck very torque happy, gotta remember there's no replacement for displacement, 2.4 to 2.0. Or go for weight saving and get an SR and make power from it. Whats your budget, and how much power do you want? Damn, this thread is cluttered with alot of useless shit, about 9/10's of the posts on theis thread should be in the whoreslounge

yeah....so i will try to keep the thread informative....always go wit the original motor first ......i will boost mine as well....u can get more performance stuff and be torquey as well....the only way i would go wit SRs is to stick wit the JDM theme.....if not that..then KA is the way to go....boost it til it die first...lol

last i checked SR's don't have any real problems creating torque with a proper turbo setup and tuning .

everyone see's different benefits/weaknesses in every motor, just pick one and run with it.
