Let me tell ya'll somthing I am an Allstate agent and I can tell you that no matter what you want to call it municipal misdomeanor or a true speeding ticket, the only way it won't show up on your record to have the judge tear the ticket up. You may still have to pay the fine, but if that ticket makes it from the judges bench to the solicitors office it will be on your record, and insurance will find it if they run an MVR and if it is on there not even the judge can take it off and you will be stuck with it. Don't believe cops or judges they are all crooks when it comes to money. They tell you that B/S to get you to pay the ticket thats it. If you fight it tell the judge you were speeding and you "RESPECTFULLY REQUEST TO HAVE THE SPEED REDUCED TO 11-14MPH OVER POSTED SPEED AND TO HAVE THE CITATION REMOVED FROM COURT AND COUNTY RECORDS". That usually is your best action.
