    In theory I agree, but this proves to the exception, the fastest 1.8Ts on the planet are all fwd, no reason for awd on a heavy car w/ little power. Even modded, a good tire on a fwd will still get you 1.9-2.0 60' times, the AWD will not do any better before breakage becomes an issue, and you are def slower on a roll awd. (Only a handfull of 1.8tQs get -1.9 60's)I recommend staying 1.8T vs 3.0, and leave the weight and extra cost of the AWD in favor for perf parts from the get go. (I also prefer the VW over Audi if you wanna go fast...lighter platforms.....even though they actually are still heavy)
