Time to upgrade the R1

Put the bike on the dyno today, found my rings are pretty worn. Looks like its time to plan out an engine upgrade for the R1. Thinking about possibly putting an 02-03 injected swap on it.

Re-ring and stroke it? (over bore, new cams take ur pick)? Should be cheaper than an engine swap I think..

But yea what you got done to it so far?

And the only thing I DO like about carbs is that I can "tune" it with only a screw driver!

I may rebuild this one, since I know the motor has no major issues, but I will put another motor in while I do it, so that the bike isn't down too long.

This bike has a lot done to it, so I will keep it for a long, long time.
